LOL, you know, it's funny you should say that, I was talking about them just the other day!

I'm with you on the Tories, although this Tory government has been one of the better ones we've had. David Cameron has actually made some smart moves during his time.

Being from a Northern, working class background I'm tradionally a Labour supporter, but...Ed Milliband? Really? Is that the BEST they could do?

Yes we have always been labour too. He is an intelligent man but he just doesn't have the stature sadly. Should have given the job to his brother.
I am interested in politics and this election will be interesting. My bet is on a labour SNP coalition.

I think the fact that these EU ratings are not being controlled is more of a worry than an actual advantage. The fact that they are not being moderated let alone not being brought into question means the likelihood that buyers are going to be ripped off.

I don't understand the 2.2kW motor thing in the EU, since in the US we peak out at 1.2-1.4kW max continous draw from the wall since our circuit breakers are set to trip past 12A sustained. I can't find any airflow or vacuum pressure ("Water lift") specs for any of the European Sebos but I can get them for the US ones, but they're all rated at the motor (Before any filters, bags or tubes). Actually I'm having a hard time finding flow and vacuum numbers for the European vacuums (Did a quick check on Miele and Sebo and I couldn't find anything except for the North American model specifications)

I don't think I have any problems from cleaning with 1.2-1.4kW max and I think a lot of vacuum owners in the US are in the same boat as me.

But 700W seems a bit draconian and restrictive. Even very high efficiency fans and motors have design limitations to them so you're going to run into the physical limitations at that rate.

I've tried the new Eco 700 watt Felix Vogue in John Lewis I thought it was quite powerful slightly quieter for 700 watts. You could feel the airflow with the brush bar at the head. One thing I noticed is the lack of hot air coming out of the fabric post motor filter which I thought was better. I would replace my current 1300 watt motor Felix with one when the time comes.

Not tried any of the other Eco models yet. Be interested to see what the X series is like but that shouldn't be noticeable surely! It only dropped by 200 watts from 1300 to 1100 watts for the X4 and 50 watts for the X1.1 from 1150 to 1100 watts if that's correct! I can't see much difference if there wasn't any as such between the non Eco X1.1 and X4 so the new Eco models of 1100 watts should be fine!

I like the look of the upholstery nozzle and the fact you don't have to use it with the crevice tool. I will certainly be getting the powerhead model but hope it will be white for the UK market as the black Sebo vacs I've owned showed every little scratch.

Thanks for posting the brochure and info sebo_fan. The new E series does look a nice vacuum cleaner. the Airbelt looks deeper and slightly more flush to the machine looking at the pictures. I see the electric power wand, handle, hose picture doesn't show the little connector cable. Probably not changed.

Lets try and keep politics out of this forum please, but turbo500, don't be so damn disrespectful and judgemental. I am a UKIP voter, I don't read the daily mail and I do believe we should get out of the EU, as do over half of the population in the UK if a referendum were held today (look it up, Yougov pol)I am not anti European, my late father was German and he and nearly every German I have met have the same viewpoint. Anti-EU is not uncommon now. Come to peace with it.

Marcus, I have a Sebo Felix eco with the 700 watt motor and I have found that the pick up performance is identical to the standard felix. The new motor in the eco apparently has more blades. It is quitter and produces substantially less heat than the 1300 watt model. All in all it is a nice improvement. The litres per second rating on both the 1300 and 700 watt models are identical. Apparently Sebo had this motor for a long time before these EU regulation were even proposed, but people would be discouraged from buying a lower watt motor, simply because the numbers are smaller.
