Thanks to Jon who flagged this up on the UK group on FB.

Sebo in Germany have at last released details on the E series cylinder/canister vac. As reported by a few other members on here, there are three models E1, E1 Parquet and E3Premium. For the moment other sites in Europe have yet to list the new range.

A range of 700 watt models appears to be available as well as higher 1200 watt models.

Thank you sebo_fan, your welcome. Thank you for posting the info on here like the picture line up you have posted the E series does look very nice cylinder/canister. Hopefully we can all see it in person soon!

ooh, hello powernozzle model!! This could be good. I love the D4 but it's so big and the K series have that silly upholstery-brush-on-crevice-tool set up which I'm not a fan of, so hopefully this is the happy medium.

Does anyone know if these are intended to replace the K series?

Apparently they are intended to replace the K "eventually", Chris as SEBO seem to be selling a lot of the K series worldwide. Dont speak too soon on the tools though, this E may well have a similar push on upholstery tool onto the crevice.

Looking forward to it arriving over here.Hopefully next month.

I have a feeling it's going to overtake my Miele S8 as my favourite Cylinder.

The thing to remember Marcus, is that this new E series is smaller on dust bag capacity than the S8. The E's closest rival will be the Miele S6 based on dust capacity, size and weight. I'll be keen to see what versions SEBO UK get in as well as general spec

I think, given the slight disappointment that some owners have already had with these "new" 700/800 watt vacs appearing on the market, that it makes sense to go for last remaining stock of the old. Dont get me wrong, whilst I think the SEBO E probably has a lot to offer, at least they are releasing 1200 watt models which Id be more interested in than the lower motor option.

I got to use the 700w D4 a few months back and it's fantastic. It doesn't have the same suction as the 2200w model, but the suction decrease is not enough to hinder the performance of the machine. It still picks up just the same.

From what I read, there's a real mix online of love/loathe with both Miele and SEBO vacuums with the lower motors. A few report that the highest suction has to be increased to get powerful suction power - but I personally don't know whether this is the owner just not realising how powerful both German brands are and their associated products.

It would stand to reason that there would be more pull with a smaller dust bag on board with either 1200 watts or 700/800 watts in either Miele's S6 or the SEBO E.

Yes that is true. Bloody EU. The sooner we pull out the better as far as I'm concerned! I'm with Mr Garage on that one.

Bloody ignorant UKIP supporters. We're safer in the EU than we are out of it.

The forced lowering of vacuum wattages has been an incredibly welcome change to the market and the most interesting and significant shake up we've seen to the vacuum world in 20 years. Machines were getting more and more powerful but not getting better at actually cleaning. Increasing the motor wattage was a cheap way for lazy manufactuers to get around doing any real R&D and a cheap way of launching a "new" cleaner that was just a rehash of the previous model.

You have to remember, whilst the motor wattage has to be lower, the cleaning performance also has to meet a certain standard.

Manufacturers as well as customers just need some time to get used to it. Those of us who remember the introduction of energy ratings on washing machines will remember the highest rated machine in the first batch of energy labels was a C rated wash. Now they're pretty much all A rated.

Remember when Dyson first hit the market and everyone was making bagless vacs? There were some horrendous vacuums on the market - some real dust leakers and cloggers. But within a few years, this settled down too.

It's the same thing with the new regulations. The legislation is not at fault, the manufacturers and the public just need to get used to new ways of doing things.

The manufacturers do their own tests so they are not regulated. The EU is a waste if tax payers money. We can't control who comes into the country. I want control of my own borders! And we can increase our exports to China, Russia, India, Brazil. The EU has failed. Only Germany has gained from it. Look at southern Europe. Spain,Greece Italy even France are struggling. There will soon be another European recession. And you call me ignorant?

Been reading the Daily Mail much, Marcus? Do you have any idea how much money being in the EU brings IN, how much protection it gives us and how much trade we can do being part of it?

And if you're voting UKIP, yes, you're ignorant. They're a single policy party with no clue how to run a country. Immigration is NOT the biggest issue in our country right now. What's UKIP's policy on education, transport, employment, the NHS, taxes, welfare, diversity? THAT's what needs to be addressed - the issues that affect our daily lives! Under UKIP, everything would crumble because they don't have a manifesto on such things.

And anybody representing a party who has actively expressed that they want to fight AGAINST same sex marriage, doesn't even deserve to be part of a society in 2015. Get with the times!

If you want this country to turn into Nazi Germany part 2, be my guest, vote away.

I'm not a ukip voter actually but I agree with them about Europe and if we get a referendum I'll vote to pull out!
Do you seriously think they will stop trading with us if we pull out?
We will do just fine without all the bureaucratic red tape. Don't you think we are capable of making our own decisions by our own democratically voted government?
Thank goodness we didn't join the euro cause we would be in deep shit if we did. It doesn't work and it never will. A common market yes a federal Europe NEVER!!!!

I'm not a ukip voter actually

Thank god!! :P

There's far bigger issues that need to be addressed, other than the EU. And on balance, whether you're pro-EU or against, I would advise against voting UKIP purely because they're a single policy party. Being in or out of the EU won't affect my daily life. I'd rather vote for a party that's addressing the daily struggles that people are facing, for example healthcare, state pensions, taxes, employment, housing, education, transport etc.

Of course. I'm not a Ukip voter and I detest the Tories. I'm looking forward to the local candidate knocking on my door!

To be honest I'm at a loss as to who to vote for this time. Are the monster raving loonies still going? :-)
