Here is the logo from the top of the 700 series. I had a hard time capturing it because of the glare. It says "Servant to the Home" and "HOOVER".

'Servant to the Home'

Thanks for posting that pic, Tom! Here's a scan of the logo from the back of the 700's manual:

Tom:

I would have scanned the logo sooner and saved you the trouble, but I had to dig out the scanner, clean the glass, plug it all in, and find and download drivers from the internet since we lost the startup cd years ago, before I could scan the page!

Mine runs fine, although the carbons could do with replacing. But basically, runs like new; not bad for 78! I used it to clean a few rooms today. The replacement bag's a real let-down, it LEAKS dust! You switch it on and a cloud rises up all around it, which you don't get at all with the original bags.

That model 725 looks very nice, especialy considering you have not restored it. Too bad about the trouble with the replacement bag. I have seen some aftermarket bags that look quite nice and work quite well. I find that it really depends on what machine you put them on when it comes to how good they look. Darker colors seem to work better for some reason.

I'm happy to report...

...I now have an original bag for my 725, thanks to a very generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous!
