    Riccar Supralite problem

OK so I'm assuming it is the bottom plate somewhere? I'm willing to replace it for $40 just to get it over with.

    Riccar Supralite problem

I recently bought two of them off ebay. One was an RSL3 and worked great for about a week. Then all of a sudden if I tilt the handle to the left or right (as from looking from the front or back of the vac), it will start catching the fan and rub against it and give off a smell, along with a not...

    Shark Vacuum Question

Well, I got a shark NV795 for my relative, she complained however that it was too heavy, so I started using it. I have a sebo felix for cleaning inside apt hallways. Typically by the 2nd building buildings, the sebo will lose about a fifth of its suction, but still work fine. Or, the orange...

New EU vacuums and half the suction

Man, you all had 2200w vacs in the UK? Thanks to having only 15 amp 120v circuits for the US, we are practically limited to around 10amps or so, around 1200w. 2200w is flat out ridiculous. No wonder they capped it at 900w. If those idiots never went above 1500w they probably wouldn't have cared.

    Ibaisiac's Greatest Hits

Definitely liked the Sebo Felix review. Of course you don't really need to do this but would be cool if you got the eco one.

    old dyson adverts 1993-2009

I remember them comparing theirs to the first US hoover bagless vacuum, that had two chambers with a tall filter in the second one. That one was horrible at clogging the filter. He had a point there. But in the grand scheme of things, his vacs still lost suction because they had filters that...

    Felix, unplugged

The bags are now $25. Problem is during the winter, I can go through 5 of them a month. It's a bigger expense than spending around $10 this past year with my washing WT air filters and adding that cloth prefilter to it which cut all the sand getting into it.

    Felix, unplugged

Well I got it back together, but I didn't get the release valve in right so it sucks air out of it all the time. *Goes back to take it apart again...*

    Felix, unplugged

I got 20 cloth crucial bags for $22.30 using a $10 discount, which I though was only a 10% discount stacked. If you don't fill them way up, they will not leak fine dust. I have no issue getting sebo bags, it's just I have a wife that complains about it. But I'm sick of cleaning out the stupid...

    Felix, unplugged

It wont kirbyloverdan, if you didn't skimp out and use cheapo bags. You won't have that problem with the Sebo bags, as they don't have that crappy top material. Those are cheap CRUCIAL VACUUM bags.

    Felix, unplugged

Here is a pic. I guess when I say leak, it won't leak when you take it out, but it can be sucked through it while in operation. All the fine dust at the top confirms it.

    Felix, unplugged

Should add I was using those paper bags that crucial vacuum sells; they aren't that good. I don't like the cloth ones either - they skimped out of the top material which easily leaks dirt when the bag starts getting filled.

    Felix, unplugged

While using the felix for work, I sucked up a bunch of mulch material. It probably either tore the bag by going into it or due to the weight of the vacuum. Thus, after a short while, I lost all suction since it all went into the motor protection filter. After using another vacuum to clean out...

    Dyson Cinetic doesn't work well.

Dyson says this will last 10 years without filter maintenance. Well, if you are like me at home, that would be true since I can fill up my Windtunnel air once a month. At work, though, during winter months, that will mean 12 times a month. Meaning I'll clog up the post filters within 2 years or...

    Dyson's new US lineup

@olive, Dyson is the apple of vacuums, no surprise there. While you can't compare them in build quality, they are errily similar in a lot of other areas. I'll leave it at that.

Hoover turbo brush making AWFUL noise

can someone mention if the dyson tool gets powered from a seperate air path? It doesn't make sense to vacuum dirt over the wheel to mess it up.

Hoover turbo brush making AWFUL noise

As a general rule, WD-40 is a degreaser or a way to loosen stuff up, it isn't a lubricant.

Why does my new Sebo G1 make me depressed?

My vac guy says to put a few drops of tap a drop inside the felix canister to eliminate pet odors. @sptyks I like that guy, cause he likes the Felix and the Riccars :)

Dyson DC55 Total Clean - Review and impressions

@sebofan I never figured out the point. If you simply create 3 separate air paths, you basically are back to square one. I spent a lot of time cleaning out dirt that got stuck in those tunnels. The brush roll can channel dirt more effectively to the air inlet than those "tunnels".

Marketing? Ha, don't say that in the Windtunnel hall of fame thread :)
