I went onto www.dyson.com, and I've noticed something new:
Following the release of vacuums with Cinetic science, Dyson has updated and rebranded their older machines. One big change was the removal of model numbers from the "new" machines.
For example, the Dyson DC50 Animal is now known as the "Dyson Ball Compact Animal."
Dyson DC40 Multi Floor is now "Dyson Ball Multi Floor." It has some changes: a 25% stronger brush bar motor, heavier weight (17.35 lbs) and a longer cord (30 ft).
One new machine is the "Dyson Ball Allergy." It looks like the DC65, but has a blue cyclone top and extra tools for allergy sufferers.
As for canisters, the Dyson DC39 Origin has been renamed to "Dyson Ball Multi Floor," and the DC47 Animal is now "Dyson Ball Compact Animal."
In addition, the DC65 has been discontinued.
This is an unusual move for Dyson's US branch, as they have marketed machines with the model number since the very beginning (DC07 launched in late 2002 in the US).
What do you think of these changes?
