VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Or stuck in a place like I am where I have to wait online for postal deliveries. The local Argos, Tesco and Currys never have anything in stock vacuum and appliance wise.

There are plenty of vacuum cleaner owners who don't always buy genuine parts, Marcus. Let alone change the bag!

Amazon and John Lewis sell genuine bags and they come within a couple of days. If you have a box of eight, if you are on your last one that is the time to buy a box, but that is common sense, hopefully. Like Mark said, around £1 per bag and the latest bags are closer to Miele quality and they last forever.

Well Mark and Mr. Tinfoil,

I just used my Kirby Sentria to shampoo my entire Living room, Dining room and hallway. Now my carpets are as clean as can be. They are also fluffed up so that you leave footprints in the carpet when you walk on it. (socks and barefoot only) They also have that clean Lavender scent throughout the house. You know what? I don't know of any frail European vacs that can do that!

I got 20 cloth crucial bags for $22.30 using a $10 discount, which I though was only a 10% discount stacked. If you don't fill them way up, they will not leak fine dust.

I have no issue getting sebo bags, it's just I have a wife that complains about it. But I'm sick of cleaning out the stupid windtunnel air of all the stuff it gets. I can't rid the first filter of sand unless I put a cloth filter in front of it, then suction suffers.

The bag size I'd get with anything but the felix model of sebo's or windsors would be great, but I love the swivel neck and the ability to remove it easily.

Well I got it back together, but I didn't get the release valve in right so it sucks air out of it all the time.

*Goes back to take it apart again...*

Well there is the numatic George which is a 3 in one, which will vacuum, sucks up spills and shampoo carpets, with proper water extraction, which are made in the UK. There are several other multifunctionals. And no, the are used in commercial settings and actually work.

I however have a Bissell big green deep cleaner which. A proper commercial shampooer which are akin to rug doctors and big home renovation shops rent out, and again, it is a proper shampooer, which actually agitates and removes dirt with water, leaving it so dry you cant mop up any water with a paper towel. Difference is, I paid for that and my Sebo and still only paid a third for the price of a Kirby.

Glad you got it back together again sprockets. The suction release valve is a bit of a pain to get in, they are on most vacuums.

I heard that where I live (Birmingham) is like the fattest city in England! :o
I also watched a documentary called "supersize me" and its shocking in America, like theres MASSIVE burgers there, and like we have 2 litre coke bottles here, it's like either your medium size, large size or XL size? omg i was shocked but wow I wish I could do that :D TBH I eat LOADS AND LOADS and am still skinny, have been doing this for years and years

You have nothing to worry about Mark. You are a spring onion my dear :3

Well even $22, that around £12 so that about the same as over here, although you can pick them up over here for £8.95 from John Lewis, so a couple of quid in it, nothing to really complain over.

The bags are now $25. Problem is during the winter, I can go through 5 of them a month.

It's a bigger expense than spending around $10 this past year with my washing WT air filters and adding that cloth prefilter to it which cut all the sand getting into it.

They should bring in a compulsory exercise program! Get the fatties running!

Your next president will be female perhaps she can whip you into shape :-)

Not all Americans are overweight Harley I shouldn't generalise :-)
