There is a long and sordid tale behind the life of the red carpet I have down in my house. There is another rug just like it, but larger, that will go down once I get my new hardwood floors. They are installing next week.Now the rugs are mine, and my Hoover‘s clean them just perfectly. Here is my commercial model 91, made in the United States. Talk about a beast that will last forever. It’s so heavy, it makes you push it slower, resulting in an even better cleaning job. I love the original bag.

My 2 old dogs, just chilling out on a very old rug, kept spotlessly clean by two extremely old Hoovers. Not one dog hair left. On the left is the Hoover model 475, and on the right is “The Greater Hoover” model 700. 1935 on the left and 1926 on the right.

Before one can use a vintage Hoover, one needs dog hair for the Hoover to remove from the rug. Missy has no problem supplying border collie hair. The question is, which vintage Hoover to use?

Commercial Hoovers are very under-appreciated. I think they clean very well.

i have owned them all and they all work the best and they are the only units i use to clean my home with my convertibles.....i use the c1525 and the c1527 floormax uprights with the iconic beater bar agitator and metal bottom plate with the seal they are direct decendents of toms c1099 2nd from the left is unbeatable

I have never been the biggest fan of Hoover uprights, or uprights in general for that matter. I have a Caddy Vac ( the first vacuum I ever paid money for ) and a Breathe Easy, both in excellent condition but I never use them. So for reasons I cannot fathom I recently bought a Commercial Hoover Hushtone CH54113. To my amazement I like it and think it is going to be a durable vacuum. I trim the mounting card of a synthetic HEPA Y bag to fit the Hushtone mount since the only CU2 bags available are paper, but otherwise there doesn't seem to be anything to complain about and much to like. Seems very sturdy. The motor is from Domel and the wooden brush roll reminds me of something off an old Windtunnel. The handle and cord wraps are big and chunky. Seems like it was built to take some hard use. Time will tell but so far I'm liking it.
