Yes..I would recommend the bag dock. I used to sell Oreck and always upgraded the commercial model to use a bag dock. It was 20 bucks then, prob the same now.

I would say abuse by owner?  I sold Orecks part-time and serviced them and never had to replace the newer belt style..I had to remember that when I opened the vacuum for it's annual service..the first thing I used to do was cut the old belt off. Maybe TTI has cheapened the belts like they have...

Beautiful! You will notice more power with the Super J...they upgraded the motor from the previous Jubilee IIRC. Put them side by side..I think the later model is slightly longer..I may be wrong but I remember it being so.

Were the dump bag and maybe a longer cord the only differences from a regular convertible?

That loop handle says that Perfect and Sanitaire are coming from the  same manufacturing plant or somehow intertwined? I remember when Oreck stores started selling this style upright...they were definitely Perfect related with the Oreck badge. Does anyone know how Sanitaire/Perfect/Bissell related?
