Just something I was thinking about, if any body can share memories of their older toy vacs or can list off a few that were based on real vacuums. Like the old Hoover Windtunnel and Dirt Devil Vision toys, both of which I used to own. They also make a Dc24 toy too nowadays.

I have heard of a Eureka f&g style, DD handheld, Hoover Dustette(europe) and the one pictured below. It is the old one with the hose and a small fan and bag that actually has suction. I would love to find that Windtunnel!

I used to have that bagged Dirt Devil! I got it for Christmas in 1994. It was really cool but unfortunately I only had it for a short amount of time before I broke it. I took the hose and tried to suck up a Cheerio with it. It broke the fan and made an awful noise. My parents tried to exchange it but for some reason no other stores had any left after Christmas. So they ended up getting me a pink (ick) toy upright vacuum from another store that was just plastic, no motor or anything, but it was all they could find. :(

I also had a toy Dirt Devil Junior hand vac with the cloth bag that ran on two AA batteries. It had the fan and a brushroll that was driven by the fan with a rubber band. Unfortunately when I got older it went in a yard sale.

A couple of years ago I found another one at Goodwill! But unfortunately it had old batteries from 2012 in it, and it must have damaged it. Because I cleaned out the battery compartment but it still won't work. I do still have it.

I also used to have a toy upright that was blue plastic and called a Lil Vac. It looked like a Hoover Convertible with the large hood and headlight. It had wheels on the bottom that went rrr rrrr when you pushed and pulled it. I taped a string to it and made a paper plug because I wanted it to have a "real" cord. LOL

I also still have a toy canister vacuum from when I was a kid. Has a motor, bagless compartment with a screen filter, a hose, clear wand, floor tool and crevice tool. Unfortunately for some reason it stopped working, but I still have the box and everything.

Oh and I have a toy pencil sharpener with power nozzle that looks a lot like a Hoover Futura canister. Is purple, green and orange. The "wand" is a black pencil.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, the pink upright vac toy they got me to replace the Dirt Devil, I think came from the dollar store. I can't remember much about it, but it resembled a clean air upright kinda. It had a white plastic cover that opened on the front but the inside was hollow.

The toy canister vac I looked and it's made by Smart Kids.

That one and the Dirt Devil Junior hand vac I think I got in Christmas '92 or '93. They came from an old storefront store that was on main street back then, called Ben Franklin. It was like a 5 and Dime store and had the old fluorescent lights, cardboard paper ceiling tiles and huge round A/C vents. It was in a very old building from like the 1920s and had probably been in business since the '60s.

The DD upright I think probably came from Kmart or Walmart.

Kids in Europe are very, very lucky. Our friend Ibaisaic in the UK has produced many videos of toy vacs created by two companies (I think Casden is one if I remember correctly) that create amazing replicas of the real thing! He has shown his loyal viewers many Toy Henrys and Hettys and Miele canisters and Electrolux canisters on his invaluable YouTube Channel. Just search for “Ibaisaic toy vacuum“ on YouTube and you’ll see some beautiful toy vacs demonstrated.

"have yu got a pic of the pink one"

No I don't think it's in any pictures. If I ever see any I'll add a picture of one. I'd have to see one to remember what it was like exactly.
