Wow its been a while since I posted on here. This quarantine thing has definently given me some time to catch up on projects.

Our local recycling plant has a deal with me and keeps all the vacuums to one side for me and I give them all my scrap metal.
This comes in really handy for spares to keep older machines going and every now and then it tuens up a Gem like this very rare platic base 652e.
Most plastic based hoovers came with the full Ranger style cover.
This is a 1984 model so one of the last of this shape ever made.

Lol

I bet the cat was the supervisor.
Is the white base metal or plastic. Is the machine a 220 or 110.
It looks like it's brand new.

You do good work

Real nice. That's a nice arrangement you have with the metal scrappers.Do they ever get more than you can take in a given trip? Do they weigh what you bring in against what they set aside for you or is it casual in that regard? Sounds like a good thing, I may try something like that although the people I've encountered at these scrapper locations aren't the most 'pleasant' people to do business with...grumpy!

Hi Guys

This is a 220v machine manufactured here in South Africa
It uses a plastic base, these plasuc bases were normally covered by a full hood like the one on the left.
This was a budget machine.

On the recycling, the owner and I are good friends and have a very trusting work relationship.
Some months I give very little and get loads, other times i give loads and get very little. I also do engineering work for a suppier of small appliances here so i get a rather large amount of kettle and toaster returns to check for faults and reasons for returns.
