We have not had a Vacuums Wanted thread lately

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

I still got like about 150+ vacuums that I would like to get. However, this time I'm just sharing about what I saw recently and what I really want to get.

First one is this Simplicity Symmetry Premium with No Tools onboard. One of the first and rarest symmetry models that were ever made. Love that green color and I like the fact that this does not have a telescoping wand which I'm not a fan of.

And last is this Sharp Twin Energy which is just like my blue one but with no electronics on this. This one I didn't really want to get but this one caught my attention because I didn't know Sharp made this model in this particular color and now I wonder if there are anymore Sharps that were also green because I'm still figuring out what Sharp vacuum it was from our old cabin.

You know what, even though there are a lot of cool vacuum cleaners out there, examples of which I do not own, I have to face reality. I have a very small house with only two carpeted rooms and Persian rugs in a couple of others, yet I own 16 vacuum cleaners. What time does that Vacuholics Anonymous meeting start? I really can't justify acquiring any more machines and ideally, I should get rid of some that I presently have. With that in mind, I have decided that I won't be acquiring any additional machines unless:

1. It's such a stupidly good deal that I just can't force myself to pass it up (like the Electrolux Diamond J I got at Goodwill for $10 last fall) and;

2. I part with at least one machine that I presently own in order to make room for it.

Short of that, I'll just have to content myself playing with the toys I already have. What's really scary is that this insanity has really come over me in the past three years.

I haven't bought any vacuums lately-but appliances "related" to vacuums---How bout two sewing machines?A Bernina and a Jukie.Like them a lot-they work really well!You can even use the Jukie without the foot pedal-there is a speed control fader and stop-start button on the control panel-works surprisingly well.The Jukie can cut the threads at the end of a sewing run.NICE!!!

Fix

I could fix your Kirby vacuette. I'd be happy to. I'm not joking. I have a 1920s royal a 1920s p a geier handvac, 1932 premier hand vac. I know alot about Kirby's and I know people who would help.
I'm throwing it out there.

Motor

The motor bearings shouldn't need replaced. Once you access them if bearing is open spray the ball bearings. I usually use car electronic cleaner. It doesn't ruin anything and it cleans off places I wouldn't want wet.
You then oil and try to spin the bearings. You do it 3 or 4 times bearings will be good as new. I would lastly grease the bearings pack it in so grease stays in bearings.

I'll offer up to $100 or more if somebody can find these
