vacuums I want

My list is actually pretty short, since I'm not a fan of uprights, that removes quite a bit. I want a vacuum that uses a particular Ametek motor that was very common in the 1950's and 1960's and I think even in to the 1970's, and thanks to Tom, I will soon have one, will hopefully be getting a Compact C6, this motor was also used in several other brands such as Eureka, Lewyt, Airway, and several others. I love the sound of that motor, very pleasant compared to all the screaming jet low quality motors we have today. Actually, the Electrolux 1205 motor sounds similar to this Ametek motor, same tone and same pitch. I'd love to find some power teams from the 1970's, I think Eureka made a top of the line power team in the canned ham form factor at that time, and maybe a Kenmore power team from that time period, weren't they called magic cord's? So, those are the vacuums I would love to find, oh, and an Airway Sanitizor would be a great vacuum to have too.

Hoover Innovation U5049 - I saw one in the corner of our local vac shop 20 years ago and should've bought it! Shop owner talked me out of it saying it was "British and a pain in the ass to work on" so I left it. I regret it, daily.

I've included some google images of the vacuums I mentioned.

I still got like about 150+ vacuums that I would like to get. However, this time I'm just sharing about what I saw recently and what I really want to get.

First one is this Simplicity Symmetry Premium with No Tools onboard. One of the first and rarest symmetry models that were ever made. Love that green color and I like the fact that this does not have a telescoping wand which I'm not a fan of.

And last is this Sharp Twin Energy which is just like my blue one but with no electronics on this. This one I didn't really want to get but this one caught my attention because I didn't know Sharp made this model in this particular color and now I wonder if there are anymore Sharps that were also green because I'm still figuring out what Sharp vacuum it was from our old cabin.

You know what, even though there are a lot of cool vacuum cleaners out there, examples of which I do not own, I have to face reality. I have a very small house with only two carpeted rooms and Persian rugs in a couple of others, yet I own 16 vacuum cleaners. What time does that Vacuholics Anonymous meeting start? I really can't justify acquiring any more machines and ideally, I should get rid of some that I presently have. With that in mind, I have decided that I won't be acquiring any additional machines unless:

1. It's such a stupidly good deal that I just can't force myself to pass it up (like the Electrolux Diamond J I got at Goodwill for $10 last fall) and;

2. I part with at least one machine that I presently own in order to make room for it.

Short of that, I'll just have to content myself playing with the toys I already have. What's really scary is that this insanity has really come over me in the past three years.

I haven't bought any vacuums lately-but appliances "related" to vacuums---How bout two sewing machines?A Bernina and a Jukie.Like them a lot-they work really well!You can even use the Jukie without the foot pedal-there is a speed control fader and stop-start button on the control panel-works surprisingly well.The Jukie can cut the threads at the end of a sewing run.NICE!!!

I can honestly say I want for nothing- vacuum wise anyway.

I've either had, or currently have what I need.

It's a weird feeling.

In fairness, in my vacuum collecting career I've had at least 150 machines.
