While this is a great picture, that's no lady! According to former V.C.C.C. member Craig Long, the female model failed to show up at the shoot, and a some guy on the camera crew offered to dress in drag for the shot. Story also goes that the guy never lived it down. While I'm not into cross dressing I must say that guy looks great in drag.

I've seen this picture countless times, and knew the story thirty years ago, but only now do I see the smirk on this guy's face. Also, he seems a bit broad in the hips (no pun intended). That dress is not a good fit, and the decore is horrible! If memory serves, that picture not only made it as an ad, but also into the instruction book.

Gottahaveahove is right, this picture was taken when people didn't go in drag. Makes you wonder why the guy did it.

When I saw that picture I thought "wow...that chick has a pretty thick neck!" Then noticed the slim hips and big feet. It just did not look right. How funny!

I have also heard this story going back to first hand information.Part of it seems to involve the cost of a regular photographers model versus the cost of, shall we say, other working people.
