I don't know about Whirlpool or Panasonic nozzles being used by Royal, but I believe most of their power nozzles were made by Air-Way or Filter Queen. I'm sure Tom G. would know for sure who built which one. Here's a pic of my model 31X Filter Queen with power nozzle for comparison.

That is a B-88 on your D31X, and I know they used the CA-96 on many Royal tanks, with the only difference being the hookups and color. Have seen an 88/AN96 in blue before. I think for the 250th do a Filter Queen styled like a K31X in all chrome, with an American flag on the front of the tank and the hose striped like a barber pole with red hookups and an American Flag power nozzle!

I am celebrating it, because of the many freedoms and opportunities US citizens have according to our Constitution and Bill of Rights; and because of the men and women in our armed forces who have made sacrifices—including their lives, relationships, mental health, and body parts—to defend them and us. Our country and its leaders—like all countries of the world—has never been nor will ever be perfect, but I have had a pretty good life here and am very grateful.

So am I! Bigger question is will Filter Queen do a 100th anniversary in 2028?

Me too! Regardless of the current administration, it is still our country's 250th birthday and deserves to be celebrated! And I am sure there will be many local and statewide celebrations to participate in without involving the orange boy and his gestapo!

I display my grandfathers WW I flag, battle medals and purple heart. He was born in Italy, and enlisted at age 17. He was mustard gassed by the Germans in the trenches in France. He saved his entire battalion by deflecting an ambush to himself. I put it outdoors for the 4th, veterans day, labor and memorial days.
We've had an inverted American flag on our side gate since last year. Nation in distress.

US or Italian Army?

Hmmm. Same as it ever was ............... That chrome exhaust diffuser looks to be ( and I will bet more than a cold beer is ) exactly the same part used on old 1980s and 1990s Tristars. At least now I know where I can get a chrome replacement instead of black plastic. Even the color is reminiscent of the old CXL and DXL.
its the same machine as a cxl dxl just plastic body bag position and desing is veryyyy similar to tristar compact

Harold Schoettler was the President of Interstate Engineering until 1989. Back then Interstate made a lot more than vacuums. They made cast wheels for cars, smoke and heat detectors and alarm systems. Interstate was making fuselages for the old Douglas A-1 Skyraider in years past and their defense electronics subsidiary, Interestate Electronics, remains a major subcontractor to the US Navy's ballistic missile submarine program, albiet now as a subsidiary of L3/Harris.

The Board of Directors wanted to change the material their smoke and heat detectors were made of from metal to plastic. Harold Schoettler disagreed strenuously and the dispute caused him to leave Interstate. He started his own company later that year in nearby Huntington Beach, Schoettler Research and Engineering, making Airstorm brand vacuums that are indeed very close to the Tristar design. Inner cloth bags and hoses interchange between Airstorm & Patriot ( Schoettlers two main brands ), older Tristars and Miracle Mate. The inner cloth bag also fits newer Tristars. In fact I can put the modern cloth inner bag in my Compact Model 1 from the mid 1940s.

Harold Schoettler's design is a bit different from those made by Tristar and Miracle Mate. His bag chamber is wider and the vertical shape is different. I had a very unexpected conversation with his son John Schoettler who now runs the business and his father did a lot of work to increase the cyclonic airflow inside.

interesting i wana know who made miracle mate
So after Harold Schoettler left Interstate a guy named Lee Zobel took his place. He managed to alienate a couple of his distributors up in Canada, among them was KK Puri. He left the Tristar fold to start Miracle Mate in 1992. The company had a US and a Canadian side. KK Puri was Canadian as far as I know and the internet website for Miracle Mate is for the Canadian side, but the vacuums were manufactured in Washington State near the Canadian border ( though the body castings came from Virginia I was told by their US side ). They haven't made a new vacuum since 2017. They had left over new ones until a couple of years ago. They exist refurbishing used Miracle Mates for resale and by supplying bags, filters and parts.

I don't know the name of the other former Tristar distributor in BC that Lee Zobel managed to piss off but the story I heard from John Schoettler was that Lee Zobel was more of a marketing type and not a production manager. He wanted to outsource production and had a possible lead with Ghibli. He asked this Canadian distributor who spoke fluent Italian To close the deal for them. Along the way Lee Zobel became enraged that their guy in Canada was buds with a Patriot distributor up there and also knew KK Puri. I guess they all ran in the same circle in BC. The Italian speaking Tristar distributor lost all of his sales people. Now as angry as a giant Asian Hornet the dude made a deal with Ghbili to make vacuums for him and called them Vortech Force. He figured if his friend KK Puri can start up a vacuum company so can he, and he did. That's why the Vortech Force looks like it does. It was supposed to be the next Tristar model after the DXL.

Nothing from Tristar fits anything from Vortech. Vortechs are very different. What I was saying is that bags and hoses can interchange between Patriot, Miracle Mate and Tristars up through the DXL. The bag will also fit modern EXL through CS Tristars.

The dome pre motor filter that fits Patriot, Miracle Mate and Tristar through the DXL also does not work on modern Tristars.
well that is interesting i did not k now that yes a tristar dome pre motor filter qill fit a vortech force i tried once and it worked but the tristar cloth bag is a bit smaller than the vortech force bag that is wider and deeper same materia tho

it was not a perfect fit to the vortech force i fixed with a tristar pre motor filter it was loosy goosy but solid enough
Just buy the Vortech filter. Call Powell Vacuum & Allergy at 830-896-8222. Ask for Garritt. They are a Vortech distributor and can get anything you need. They are my go-to source for Vortech stuff. The Vortech filter is probably better. It is like a small automotive air fliter.

omg yo usave my client i have been l oooooking with 0 luck i wonder do they ship to maratime in Canada
Call them and ask. They are in Texas but I don't think Canada is putting tariffs on US stuff they way Jupiter ( like the planet, the orange colored gas giant ) is making us pay for goods from Canada.
