2020 marks several milestone anniversaries of some collectible and/or conversational surface cleaners and accessories in the antique—vintage—classic category.
To be both accurate and consistent, I went with the years of mass sales introduction—not necessarily the year of beginning manufacture or introduction to the sales force or test field. For instance, the Kirby Classic 1-CR's manufacture began in late 1969 according to the name plates of the first runs but were not sold widely until January 1970; and the Electrolux Corporation's Model G sales campaign began in January 1961 after its late 1960 initial manufacture (its manual's cover was a full-color version of the Model R's 3-color design; so the 1960 copyright year on the inside was unchanged).
