Nice idea for a thread!

Quick question about your vacs: I notice you have a Eureka PN, the Power II.

I have one that is similar (it's a black "Ironsides" model), and it a great Vibragroomer II brushroll in it. I have one problem, though. It's that the Eureka PN won't fit properly onto my Trisar wands. The locking button is at the wrong height.

How did you get around this problem? I think the Eureka PN's are great, but I need some advice about mating it to the Tristar. Any thoughts?

That PN is off of a Eureka-made Wards canister and what i did was tape the end of the original tristar wands to make it into a friction fit but now the wand doesn't rotate in the neck

HEPA motor filter

Will it fit the EXL or MG Series TriStar?

If this one doesn't fit the MG Series motor, is there a HEPA motor filter that will fit those models?

If it's the CXL/DXL/EX-20 style hose, yes it'll fit the Compact.

If the hose is from EXL/MG Series & CS (A-101) then it won't fit the old Compact

Does it come in black or just white??? And what do you think were to happen if I spray paint it. I guess the white or black start color doesn't matter but I am going to make a super compact with a wessel werk power nozzle and a compact vacuum. Going to repaint it all the original greenish color. If anyone knows what color that is or if you have some,

Will a Ametek 2-stage motor fit the EXL, MG & CS Series TriStar? I want my EXL to have equal power like my 1985 CXL. This is my first experience with the newer TriStar vacs; I had no idea that they're not as powerful as the CXL (other than what EXL/MG Series users posted on the forum)

I grew up around Compacts. Grandpa had 3. Still uses 2 of them. I have one of them now.

I want to improve the EXL's performance, so will the CXL motor fit the EXL or MG Series?

btw, I'm ENJOYING my EXL more than I thought. I like how the direct connect wands connect into the hose; I can even use the MiniStar on the wand, so I can vacuum my car & other tight areas more comfortably.
