Someone in my neighborhood is selling a (what seems to be newish) Tristar for $50. Can't tell much from the picture. Looks well used but decent.
Worth it? Thoughts on Tristar as far as using as main vacuum? I'm not super familiar with Tristar, but my friend's mom has had one for as long as I can remember. How good are they at filtering dust/allergens?

there gooooood machine adda VAC america great 5 layer flece bag wit h a new cloth bag and new hepa pre motor filter no dust escape im sure of it its how i run all my compact tristar suction and air flow is amazing youll love it .

Tristars are great. It takes a moment to get used to a bag that isn't sealed, so it might not be the best choice for someone with intense allergies. However this really only applies when changing the bag. There's a ton of good YouTube videos on them if you want to take a look before buying. I used a Tristar clone (Miracle Mate) for years and loved it.

$50 is a fantastic price. Thrift store inflation is real and you'd be hard pressed to find one at a lower price, even if one ever did show up at a local Goodwill. If you're interested, you should buy it!

That was part of the reason I bought a CXL was from Eric. Good times. Anyways, that being said. I'd consider a Tristar if it was built by IEC like my CXL. The ones that were built by Aerus I could care less about, I owned a MG2 before and I wasn't too impressed.
