Typical thread showing vacs I have aquired.

Nothing too special just yet! I had to use a different site to post the pics...image quality is too large...they had to be resized even on there to be uploaded!!

The DS50 I have has been with me since I was about 14, found it literally in the woods!!! It used to look better, but its been traveling with me since I moved out of my parents house 4 years ago, the others Ive aquired here in Oregon, though they'll all be making the trip back to Michigan here in a couple weeks.

That DS50 has been a loooong way!

love your vacuums

Hi James Love your collection being a Kirby fan for many, many years. Also love that Royal what a shame that company sold out. Have read at this form that the Everlastings the new ones that the belt shaft gets VERY , VERY hot and can cause the fan shaft to bend some what. Ihope Kirby keeps their good name. How product qualty has gone down. If you ever want to talk vacuums just e-mail me .Take care Doug

Thanks!

The brushroll in the class 3 is the original...they all have their original stuff...suprisingly, and all work well! In my last house I bought a brand new Eureka commercial and didnt take it with us (gave it to the folks). Now im glad I have my Kirbys back, forgot how well they did. Now I want em all!

Im probably not going to take the eureka or hoovers with me, unless I have plenty of space left over in the cars.

And i agree with what happened to Royal. No doubt they're still in the top rankings, but not happy that some quality was sacrificed as well as its loyalty here. Its why I only promote Kirby now. Their salesmen may give them a bad name at times, but they've never sold on their product like everyone else! Plus, I noticed that this everlast is a lot louder than I remember Royals being, but its still a pretty good cleaner.

Yes, Im dissapointed to be headed back, but I also miss my area too much! Perhaps later in life I will venture back...most likely to Idaho. But these times just seem to voilatile to be out trying to start something bold and new.

James, if you put a four row brush roll in your classic III and your Dual Sanitronic, you'll be amazed at how much better they perform. They're also easier to push with the newer style brush roll. That one change will turn a BEAST into a SUPER BEAST! lol!

Thanks for the tip! Ive noticed that the DS50 has always been rather a beast to push comparatively to newer ones, I shall try it out!

You have a nice collection started there James! I hope when you re-settle that you can continue collecting. True statement about the 4 row brushrolls, they do make a difference on all Kirbys, especially if you have plusher type carpet. Good luck to you!

Rick

With all of the discussion about Royal-brought out one of my Orange bag and cord commercial models-yes the Chinese one-and compared to the Kirby Sentria-the Royal is LOUD-the Royal is even louder than my recent aquistion-the PowerFlite Giant upright.Any of the delears I know of that carried Royal have dropped them-or order them if someone wants one.SAD-STUPID TTI!!!

I cant believe how many Royals are in the Portland area, I think it has to do with Starks having such a large supply of them. In Michigan Royals are extinct, except the oldies that are still floating around.

The only reason I bought it was because Ive always had a good experience with them, when they were OURs...when I brought this one home, I was kind of dissapointed.

The salesman also told me that they no longer automatically come with the hose attachment, and they're plastic now and can be ordered separately for 48.00 or something like that. I'd rather buy a nice used Kirby from a dealership.

James...

Hello & gm James.

When you head back to Michigan, if you pass thru via the southside of Lake Michigan on I-90, feel free to stop in for a minute or two & have a cup of coffee if you like.

For that matter anyone in the area is welcome to stop by. I'm less than a mile off I-90.

Usually I've got coffee on, if it's not 'thick' enough brew for you, I'm sure I can 'fix' that as well. ~~lol~~

Cheers & have a greater day all,

Bill
