CoffeeCanMan,

How does one contact you? I would like to speak with you privately. I tried going through ebay but their mail system does not allow the exchanging of email addresses.

Please advise when you have the opportunity or email me at [email protected]

Thanks,

Charlie

Hey Brandon..I for one hope you don't go away as I always enjoy your posts, and your restorations are great! I don't Facebook or any other media myself, that's always a personal choice. Any time you get involved with a group, there are always "bad apples" around, and you just have to ignore them, and here when justified, they get the boot. You put a lot of love in your restorations, and the 505 was a fine example, not to mention how complete it was. I can't imagine what all the brew ha was about, but can only imagine. There are people out there that are addicted to media, and have way too much time on their hands.

For the sake of not letting this crime against me be nameless, I am attaching the public announcement that was made regarding my eBay auction. Additionally, I am including proof that the accusations were completely false (notice how the username of "o***b (private)" that Will was so certrain translated to "hooverboy81" was in fact NOT.) I have partially disguised the full usernames of the bidders for their privacy, however I think it's quite evident that he was mistaken. Regarding the Hoover 634, I was actually the winning bidder. Why on earth would a friend bid me up, it doesn't make any sense, and is again, completely false. I've been a member of eBay since 2005 and my 100% positive feedback score of 1157 and 5-star DSR ratings across the board speaks for itself. Before you take someone's word as fact, do yourself a favor and find the facts before you help screw innocent people over.

I will of course continue to enjoy my collection of Hoovers, Roll-Easys, Lewyts, pre-war & straight suction cleaners in privacy. I will keep in contact with those who I know to be genuine friends, but I will not be renewing my membership to the VCCC or Vacuumland. There are far too many snakes slithering about here, and the manner in which some of you treat fellow collectors disgusts me.

I highly value my 100% positive feedback score and since the machine was legitimately bought and payed for (and fortunately to a somewhat local buyer, so I don't have to pack or ship it) I must honor the sale. I am a man of my word, by cancelling the purchase because I didn't get what I wanted, I'd be no better than the pathetic losers who sabotaged the auction.

I for one...

Would hate to see you leave the site. You were so helpful to me, as well as generous, when I attempted my first coffee can Hoover restoration. NO ONE ELSE came thru. You did and then sent me other things that you thought I might need. I, also, have be thru some rough characters and almost left the site. But the good FAR outweigh the bad. I have also made some wonderful friends here that I value greatly.
Brandon, you are a wealth of information, as well as being there for those of who do not have the expertise and experience you have. Please don't let a few bad apples spoil the bunch.
Hope you stay!

Can I second that?

Hi Brandon:

I agree, you are indeed a wealth of information, and an important part of both Vacuumland, and the V.C.C.C. I urge you to stay. We need members like you.
