What does made in Germany mean? Quality? Look at this TOL Panasonic with a MSRP of $799, made in Mexico. additionally the performance indicator did not work. The fit and finish of American, and Eurpopean manufactures would never box something like this. I must add I believe made in China is not always bad neither. My Hoover Insight and Ipad show high standards in quality.

The first thing that struck me about that was the price. I sure never thought a Panasonic would command a price of $800. Taking that into consideration, the prices of Aerus, Filter Queen, Kirby, and Rainbow take on a new (better) meaning. When you consider how long their machines can last with a moderate amount of care, the prices are really not that bad.

The performance is outstanding and the street price is much less. The fact that their tooling and workmanship is so poor is what is troubling. This either shows a complete lack of quality control at Panasonics factory in Mexico or a complete lack of caring. This is their TOL unit, you would think more pride would be shown. If you like Panasonic I recommend purchasing a similar Riccar as their quality and workmanship is top notch. I promoted this Panasonic in a previous post because it has amazing performance but to see units coming out of the factory like this, how can you advise someone spend hard earned money on one.

My absolute favorite Upright manufactures.
Riccar/Simplicity, Miele, Sebo, Lindhaus and even the Hoover Insight, all offer TOL performance with world class workmanship.
