New guy here looking for a little help on the Royal I use at work. Recently bought the rear fork adjustment piece to replace a broken one. It has a spring that I just can't seem to get back on. So I was hoping someone had a similar model that is intact that they could take some pictures of from a couple of angles to make sure I am putting it back together properly. Again, it's the rear fork piece that adjusts the height.

Unfortunately that doesnt really help. I want to actually see it on the machine. Make sure I am doing it right. But thank you!

Appreciate it. It's from somewhere between 90-95. I work janitorial for a church and it was there when I started the job 11 years ago. Still runs like a champ. Just needed to replace height adjustment pedal as it had snapped at some point.

Has a spring that a screw feeds through and then the ends sit in two places for the tension. On that diagram it was part 2 in the lower right side. I thought I had taken a good enough look before I took it apart but I don't know... It doesn't seem like it should be this hard to get it back together.

I know a lot of the royal vacuums around that time were all put together the same so I was hoping someone would have one.

There are 2 springs in that assembly. Is it #2 or #12 in the diagram that Ben sent you. One is vertical and the other is horizontal. Maybe you could take it to a nearby vacuum shop. Hopefully someone there could help you out.
