I repaired it myself. No big deal this time, just disassemble the neutral drive mechanism and lube the sliding gear on the rear wheel axle.

Oh yeah thats a very common issue with Generation Kirbys. The transmission shaft dries up and the whole gear system locks up solid. If not that, the little clip that holds the pedal on will unclip itself or break off and then the pedal falls off. I don't know if they used too little grease, or a grease with not enough viscosity to handle the wear, it seems using a higher quality thicker grease keeps it fixed forever.
