Rescued this upright from the curb. Anyone know its exact age?
Only reason I took it is that it is mostly metal and it ~could~ be a commercial model, given its intact 3-wire cord.
The handle bracket is broke but has been cobbled together with scrap metal and bailing wire. It stays together but wants to fall down.
The impeller fan is broken, and it needs a belt and a bag. These three items are required before it is usable.
Rest of it is in good condition.
My intent is to give it away if I can fix the above for 20 bucks or less, as that is all my friend could get for it at her thrift store.
I have a feeling it may cost more than that since belts and bags usually come in a multi pack. IT will likely get purchased by a construction or cleaning crew and used until the bag is full, then chunked.
Ideally, if a local member here wants this, it is free for the taking.
IS the fan part number what is on the fan itself (38755-010)or is there a recent/updated part number?
I know very little about Hoovers so can someone tell me if this machine is worth fixing with a 0 dollar (or negative) profit?
IF it is a good performer then perhaps yes..
If there are any known threads on these here, feel free to point me there.
Thanks!
Oh, Here is some info I found on this site:
