My New Aerus Vacuums

....just like on Miele and Sebo bags. Make it like they do, their bags are sturdier! But wait, if your not crazy about the Platinum Lux bags, there are many other brands to choose from that do not have bag problems. That's what's so great. Nothing is perfect, even a $1300 vacuum.

Preaching what I learned on here, happy vacuuming :-)

My New Aerus vacuums

Rex,
You are correct about your comment on the Air-Ways. I had almost forgot about the problem they had when they went to a more powerful motor. Same thing happened. They could no longer use the cardboard top on the Sanibags as the suction would pull them out of place in the top. My parents had this happen a few years ago with their 88. We bought a new motor thinking thier motor had gone bad after over 40 years use. It was NOT the motor but only the off/on switch. Anyway I installed the new motor and we had a problem because they still had some of the older style cardboard top Sanibags We had to discard them and use only the newer Air-Way Sanitainers with the thick plastic tops. It DID resolve the problem.
I never owned any Electrolux that DIDN'T have a thin layer of dust on the inner cage after time (NOT dust leaking-just a thin layer of dust reidue when you ran your finger accross the inner cage) but if you find ANY dust on the inside of an Air-Way-you have a problem with the bag or maybe a fake Air-Way bag.
You have a good memory!!!!!

I just

called Aerus today and a lady named Debbie said that Vicky whom I spoke to about my bags and HEPA filter forgot to send them to me . She promised they would ship out tomorrow , I will see once I receive them if there is any improvement .

So if anyone else is having problems ask for Vicky since she knows about the complaint .

Let us know Dan. I just checked my first bag of the new batch again today. The bag is pretty close to full and the new hepa filter is still very clean. There is a little dust in the chamber but very little. I think too dust in the bag chamber is more noticeable cause it he chamber is black. My legacy and older luxes are light color so the dust doesn't show like the black.

I will

keep everyone posted Mike

Dust update

I have been using my platinum with the new bags and filter about every other day. I checked today and no dust, and a clean filter. I don't know if the problem is solved, or I've just been lucky, but so far I'm satisfied.

CAUTION:

Using any other bag in your Aerus/Electrolux machine will VOID your warranty. There is no legal way to tell whether Chinese made bags truly meet the Department of Energy's regulation. There is no U.S. law that says something defined as "HEPA" meets the standard they impose. Aerus/Electrolux has always been very strict on this point due to the high quality bags they use.

Mike

On the 12 pack of bags It's says made in PRC which is people's republic of china .

I would never ever try to use any thing but Genuine Aerus bags and further more perfect bags only come in type C they don't make any other bag but C and the new Platinum is type P bags totally different bag .

Glad to hear the good news of no dust leakage the new bags do seem thicker too .

I agree with Dan.....

Well, it is a chinese version of an old Electrolux. They are trying to fool people into thinking they are American made, and associated with the Electrolux company. They are not. If you use their bags in a newer Aerus machine it will void your warranty. However, they would need to find out of course. The problem with the Perfect brand bags is quality control. They might be great, but might not. They might be true hepa material might not. Since they are a Chinese company, they are not worried about their reputation. Having said this, everyone has their own needs, and if these bags fit yours, have at it; just do so with eyes open as to what you are buying.
PS.
I know a couple people who have the Perfect Canister vacuum. One has had great service so far and recommends it highly for its' suction. The other person had a broken machine within the first month, and has yet to make contact with anyone to help her with a repair - she hates it. So......

Thanks Dan. Did not see the prc.
Didn't some company in Massachusetts always make aerus lux bags for Electrolux.?

<span style="font-family: verdana, geneva;">It seems like the Aerus/Lux dealers in my area want $1700.00 or more for the new Guardian Platinum; & neither franchises in San Antonio or C. C. can do a "layaway" plan.</span>
