Fred, pass on the word to Tania that I am absolutely JEALOUS of that GORGEOUS Electrolux LX!! And to think that she got that as a gift from Hans Craig....what a nice person to give such a nice gift! Wish I had friends as thoughtful as that :)

And your Kirby 561 is absolutely stunning too, Fred....such a good job they did on the restoration! I would say your Kirby would have to win the lifetime award for "best restoration" there for sure!

The 561 Fred has was beautifully done at the same place my Dual Sanitronic 80 above was done. The man behind the counter is like an artistic genius with a buffer.

Oh my goodness I forgot!

Please accept my apologies.

Give me a couple of hours and I'll get back to the thread.

OK, I've thought about it and may the heavenly gottahaveahoover forgive me...

#1 goes to... Bill (eurekastar) and his Kirby 560 (reply #16)
#2 goes to... Steve (s31463221) and his Hoover 700 (reply #11)
#3 goes to... Daniel (vacuumfreak) and his Electrolux Model 30 (reply #7)

Yes, I know I've let myself and all the Hoover fans down, but that Kirby was just too damn beautiful to NOT get top spot.

But, of course in good spirit - EVERYBODY IS A WINNER!

Thank you!  I did all the restoration myself, so I'm really proud of it.  I put in a lot of extra time on that 560, because I wanted it to be perfect.  The Model 560 is a 1960 vintage, which is my vintage too!  LOL!  It's nicest vintage model I own.

I did think about that but then there may be personal bias against or for people...

Perhaps this would be an idea for the forum administrators to consider.

Eureka 1980 model 1290 A Roto-matic power team.

The photo is in the I'm new here thread. My original upload photo to my e-mail is clearer for some reason.
It has only a few small nicks which I touched up with Testors paint I mixed my self. Dark red and brown gloss.
I touched up two tiny nicks in the bumper gasket near the front with white liquid nails for projects.
The hose has been replaced, so does not have the fully encased with vinyl handle grip. Very rare to find in good condition.
It has factory original attachments sans' the straight suction rug nozzle.
I cleaned and disinfected it inside, and out. There is no rust inside.
The motor sounds like new. The power nozzle runs excellent as well.
It is so strong, that you must operate in on low speed on the floor, or rug suction settings in order to push the power nozzle on deep pile carpet.

How About

A 1963 All Chrome Royal 401......I do have the correct grey with red tracer braided hose, but didn't dig it out, this was a gift from Mike Rogers about 15 years ago.
