Isn't it just.. Beautiful?! :-)

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Stan have a word with a allergy specialist. I've seen 3 one is supposed to be the top consultant in the UK. His advice was to remove carpets and replace it with hardfloors.

As I've said previously dust mites cling to carpet fibres and are difficult to remove. With a hard floor they have nothing to cling to and are removed easily. If you have a dust mite allergy this is the best option.

Yes, an interesting quote Stan. It doesn't appear to be any where else that has been listed or supported by other companies online. Yet the report has 15 year old sub reports to support the conflicting information as well as the opportunity to follow up reading with the full online study by a Canadian carpet company who no longer exist.

Sorry but by that ONE website evidence alone, I remain unconvinced.

Having worked in education and pre-schools, I can confirm that children often eat off a clean hard floor. I have observed it and even questioned why it happens, but it seems to be a case of that it doesn't endanger children in general.

Allergies

Are in peoples heads I have NEVER had any, its frame of mind not all the bull from people making money from it.

If it bothers you that much may I suggest a bubble ? Please if I had to live my life worrying about stupid dust allergies or dust mites I couldn't enjoy my fabulous life .

Dan aka God 😇

Yes but todays generation of kids are being born with allergies or problems with breathing.

Its all very well if you don't have an allergy but you can't speak for the whole wide world. Informing them about carpets being more hygienic than hard floors is utter nonsense.

Reminds me of Coca Cola lying to Ethiopian mothers that their soft drink was healthier than breast milk!

Well then, to each his own! This subject has been beat to death, so lets end it now!

I just want to end this by saying that:

With the exception of my kitchen and bathroom, I have 5 year old medium pile, plush carpet throughout the rest of the house and I am able to keep it looking and feeling brand new with my Kirby Sentria vacuum and shampoo system. That is what matters the most to me. I have no problem lying down on my cushy plush carpet to watch TV or whatever knowing that it is clean as can be.

That's all right Marcus, Dan and I know that you are lashing out because you are jealous of us living our fabulous lives here in America, The Land of Opportunity with the best made and designed vacuum cleaners in the world.

I like some of your vacs but I have a fantastic life here in wonderful Wales. I have no jealousy or envy whatsoever :-)

The best thing for anyone with allergys is to be around the stuff your allergic to.

I am allergic to dust . I own a vacuum shop and work on vacuums.

Allergic to cats and dogs. I have 12 cats 3 dogs 9 bunny rabits and a Teacup pig

Allergic to grass trees and shrubs

Avid gardener do all the work myself.

I built up a imune system to these they hardly affect me at all any more.

The problem is people go ape Oh my word my child is allergic to dust amd Animals so they get rid of the animals tile out the house close all the doors fit a hospital grade filtration system to the air control..... Well done you have just created hell for your child for the rest of their lives.
Go out Get dirty have some dust its the beat thing for you.

If you take 1000 of all the people who have allergys at the moment only 1 out of that 1000 is a severe case that needs the bubble life to exist the rest just need some good fresh air with polen and dust

Yes the "few" vacuums available in Europe. Yet if it wasn't for OUR British invention of the vacuum cleaner, you'd still be using an upright with a soft bellowing bag. Oh wait a minute. The U.S still are.

At least the Vorwerk uses a bag but keeps in a most stylish body. If I could find one under a price I'm happy to pay, I think I would probably enjoy the Vorwerk even more.

Any point in asking if the Vorwerk has ever used a permanent washable dust bag? I know there's one available for the SEBO commercial BS36 etc

I don't think Vorwerk have ever produced a washable bag sebo_fan from the knowledge I've gained so far. The older direct air models must have had 'shake out' cloth bags then I the later 'direct air' models had paper bags within the outer cloth bags. I'm not sure Vorwerk would produce a cloth bag based on their philosophy of cleanliness. Never say never.

Price aside I think you would enjoy using the Vorwerk Kobold sebo_fan.

Land of opportunity? Not anymore. Stop fooling people trying to make out the US is still top dog. The country is riddled with problems. I have travelled there, I have family there. It is a nice country but it isn't Europe. I don't know where Dan or sptyks have travelled but their complete ignorance and narrow mindedness is what gives Americans their reputation of being arrogant and nieve. I consider myself a well travelled person even at a young age I have travelled most of Europe. Germany is an amazing country and runs rings around the US in terms of a lot of things, difference is you will rarely find a German screaming about it.

Oh, and just to bring vacuums back into the conversation momentarily, most vacuums in the US now are cheapo crap plastivacs sold at Walmart, that is what a majority of the US public buy. Us Brits buy Dyson and Numatic Henrys above all else, the Germans buy Dyson and domestic home brands. Difference is, these vacuums are between £100 to £300, not £1500 :')

Oh and CC, the US do not have allies. They have interests.
