So, I was waxing poetic to a friend about how dysonman1 had done a brilliant job fixing the motor on my 1979 gold Electrolux (it works great!) and she said, "Well here, take these two Electroluxes from my Dad's house" (she's helping him get ready to downsize his living situation). Both of the vacuums actually run, though the motors sound, at times, a bit weak. At any rate, now that I know of the many vintage Electrolux enthusiasts out there, I thought I should post about it. I'm thinking $65 each plus shipping from North Carolina. I have some pictures below, including of the serial numbers. I imagine that some of the attachments are after-market items. I had taken short videos of each vacuum cleaner running, and I think that I can only post pictures. JL

Ah

It appears you have an Electrolux XXX and an LX.
The XXX was produced from 1937-1954. The LX was made between 1952-1955. I would love to buy the XXX but I don't have the money currently. I hope you find an interested buyer!

I might be interested in the LX. My grandparents had one like it. Whereabouts in North Carolina are you? I'm in the Triad area. If you're somewhere nearby, perhaps we could meet somewhere and save having to ship it. I'll send you an email. Look for "Human from Vacuumland" in the subject line.

The Electrolux vacuums for sale

Hi Human - I did receive your email last week and then emailed you back. Let me know if you received that email and if we should proceed. I sent you a reply on Wednesday, May 7th at around 3:00pm. Thanks! JL

Yes, I'm still interested. I apologize for not responding in a timely manner. Things are a little insane right now, with the end of the semester. I'll text you and we can work out a time to get together and take a look at the machine.

I actually GAVE that 1st model

to a friend, years ago.  "Patty Partyka" let me take anything I could take form one of their stores, before it closed.  I had no use for it. BUT, my good friend in CA loves them.

I also GAVE an old G.E model 1, I believe, (the flat upright) to a collector in Allentown, PA.
