First: Vacuum really, really well with an upright vacuum, or a canister w/power nozzle (any brand) as long as it has a good air flow and brush action studies show the fleas can't survive.

Next: Goest thee to thy local store of your choice Wal-Mart, Lowes, Target and get thou some Ortho Home Defense.

Repeat as necessary as the fla cycle can go on for a few weeks. The vacuum will take care of the adults, repeating often will prevent their numbers from building up.

I would also recommend if you have indoor pets to wash their bedding and spray around their living space. Also while you are picking up the Home Defense for the house, you may want to pick up some Diazinon for the lawn so you can take care of the little beggers before they make their way inside.

We have had a wet spring here and the fleas, ticks, spiders, mosquitos and ants are terrible.
