Electrolux Commerails

I hope this info helps on the history of Electrtolux Commercials.I also have the lireature on Prolux Plus and will look in my info to see if there is more I can find.

Was there a carpet shampooing kit (extraction type) available for the CA or CW? Years ago I saw a 1205 w/PN2 that had plastic aquarium-type tube from PN to canister; does anyone have info about this?

Thank you for the information everyone. Still wondering about years of production; also when comercial tanks were discontinued.

Another question...which machines have interchangeable parts?

CB2000

The CB 2000 ran from 1983 - 1999. October 1999 is the last price list that I found it on. It wasn't a bad cleaner but most new sales reps pushed the Commercial Uprights and didn't push CB 2000.

Thanks tig21er.

This is what I have pieced together:

1962-1964: CA - Light Blue - Two tone

1964-66: CB - Light Blue - Two tone (Chrome tank also available)

1967-68: CB - Tan / Brown (Chrome tank also available)

1968-73: CB - Blue / Chrome

1974-78: CB - Gold / Chrome

1979-1982: CB - Brown / Chrome

1983- ?: C2000 - Lt Grey / Charcoal Grey

C2000 - Lt Grey / Jadestone
C2000 - Lt Grey / Taupe
C2000 - Bluish Grey
? - 1999: C2000 - Bluish Grey with red cords

extraction unit

To answer the question about an extraction outfit for the commercial the answer is no. The use of a water pickup and squeege was on hard floors not carpet. Hot water extraction on carpets didn't come out until about 1975. It came back after a 50 year hiatus. In 1969 this is the option for carpet on the 1205, as well as the B-8.

@ronnie

The CA lasted from 1962 through 1967. In 1967, the CB was launched, in the matching bronze color as the bronze model G. It would change to blue in 1968 to match the 1205.

Thank you dysonman1 and Collector2. So, Collector 2 are you saying that the CBs started in '65 instead of '67?

Hi Fred:

Yes the CB was first brought out in 65 in blue to match the Blue model G that was out at the time. You also had the option of either the blue steel bucket on it or the stainless steel (silver) bucket. I don't know if the CA was totally discontinued at that time or if its production continued in parallel with the CB for a time.

Doug

The earliest CB I ever saw was the bronze model G matched model in '67. I did not know there was a turquoise CB (would have matched the CA and the Hospital G). Would love to see one in person. I know the CA was also labeled as a "White" from the White Mop Wringer division of Electrolux - I have the owners manual for it, dated 1966.

Thank you Doug and Tom. Can I bother you again about the model CW? I don't know anything about it but have just seen it mentioned on this site.

I am also wondering about model #s for the rug washers and if parts are interchangeable. I'm assuming the turquoise-colored one came out with the 1205 in 1968. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Rug Washer

The rug washer part # was 10360 and the colr was that of the current Top model out.The color for the B-8 as well as the B-9, B-10 and current Floor Pro match the line that was current. The rus washer worked on all models except the uprights. The units were air driven. I have one that matches Olympia One and one for Silverado.

Does anyone have a complete timeline of Electrolux/Aerus commercial UPRIGHTS? Thanks, John, for informing us that both the commercial Model CB2000 canisters and the uprights were sold concurrently (reply #42) through 1999. I've noticed that many of the uprights were color-coordinated with the tanks and triple brush machines but there are some, such as the Prolux machines, Electrolux Commercial, and Lux Commercial that were charcoal and red (which would only have partly matched the machines of the Renaissance/C104A era.

Also, I have seen 1400 and 1400X and am wondering if those were model designations or names.
