Hi John:

Great information. The wet pick up machine you are referring too must have been the CBW as I have the parts sheet for the CW and it didn't have a connection for a power head.

Hi Fred:

The colours of the machines followed those of the cannisters so this would have been the list:

CA - Light Blue - Two tone
CB - Light Blue - Two tone (Chrome tank also available)
CB - Tan / Brown (Chrome tank also available)
CB - Blue / Chrome
CB - Gold / Chrome **** I am not certain of this one - have been told it existed but have never seen one and no one seems to be able to confirm it.
CB - Brown / Chrome
C2000 - Lt Grey / Charcoal Grey
C2000 - Lt Grey / Jadestone
C2000 - Lt Grey / Taupe
C2000 - Bluish Grey
C2000 - Bluish Grey with red cords.

That's as much as I know about the models - can anyone add to / correct the list?

If what you are telling me about the power nozzle hookup , why does it show it on the machine with power nozzle hose and connection on the cleaner? Will download a picture later.

Tom-Great Luxes!I think the CA motor was slightly different and referred to as the 'red brush holder' motor.
Alex-I have also heard "electrical mishap"story that involved a janitor using vac on wet floor and a metal door slamming on and cutting cord leading to lawsuit.I am not sure of brand of vac involved or if fact or urban legend.
Ronni-First Elux upright was about 1978 and was yellow/gold color.First 'comm' may have been the next tan color and had different label, longer thicker cord and spacer under upper cord hook to allow it to hold more cord. There was a folder promoting the L and UR as comm vacs for motels, etc.
CA story-When I worked at the Bristol VA sales office we would sometimes get phone calls meant for the Elux factory across town also in Bristol VA.One day I picked up the phone and a frustrated voice said-"I need bags for my Electrolux and DON'T YOU TELL ME YOU HAVE NEVER HEARD OF IT !!!"I then said-"You must have a CA."It turned out that she did and was in Texas and got what she thought was the factory number from the operator. No one in her area knew or remembered the CA.When I told her I could get her a few bags we had a nice conversation of her using it since new to clean churches.

Hey John:

That is strange as I have never seen any actual pictures of the CW. I was going by this parts sheet. As you can see there is no PN outlet listed on it. Great to see the info sheets for it- thanks

Doug

Doug as pictured there was a power nozzle connection and it was P/N 2 with the fiftieth Anniversary emblem on it.
