Brush Compatibility Among Models

I recently came across this Ebay listing and wondered if it is accurate:

"Up for auction are these (3) new Electrolux OEM, TriStar Shampooer Generic Shampoo Brushes. the auction is for 3 brand new Brushes In Pack , Fits Models: TriStar Pro Star, Electrolux B8, Electrolux B9. Black Soft Shampoo Brushes.

Model Numbers: 42828; 942-1016; 13-3800-01; CO-42828"

So are all Electrolux shampooer models' brushes--including the B-7 and B-10 models--interchangeable? If not, please inform us which ones are; if any.

Ronni,

B-8 and later B-9,B-10 (Floor Pro) Brushes are not interchangeable. The brushes and the holder for the brushes changed with the Diamond Jubilee line. The Shampoo twist of with a tug to the right and instead of being pulled off like you have with the B-8. The E-Bayers that put B-8 on these brushes don't know what they are talking about. TriStar shampooers are the same brush as Floor Pro because they are the same unit. Aerus provides them the unit and some other parts. They are sister companies.

Elements of the aqua B-8 manual ff.

('f.' when used in standard text is the abbreviation of the Latin 'folium' for 'leaf' or 'page' -- or in this thread 'reply'. 'ff.' is the plural form. Both denote "and following". Btw ... 'port' in 'portfolio' means 'to carry'--so a portfolio is something used to carry papers.) Now, if nothing else, you learned some etymologies! haha

Re: reply #24:

For accuracy I need to point out that while the shampoo tank labels were the same circa 1966 to 1982, the caps of the aqua- and teal-colored models were teal; and the caps of the gold- and brown-colored models were ivory.

Here is a pic of the former:

John, Jimmy, Ray, or whomever ... Do you know if there was a Regency Series Floor Pro (or any other marketed machines) like the Special Edition Floor Pro/1522?

John,

I appreciate the correction, although in reply #30 I noted that the Special Edition (pictured in reply #10) was a 2101A--or is this another example of a machine with two different model ids?

I was going by memory when I mentioned that it was a Floor Pro/1522. So much for that!

What color schemes did the 2101 have? I can't tell what color the machine in #34 is. I'm guessing there was a jade and a taupe like the L-Es and a blue like the Ultralux, Ambassador/1623, Model 90/1623, and Diplomat/2100?

I just discovered that the B-8's shampoo tank label was updated sometime during the "brown era"; at least this label has the gold trim and what appears to be a brown-colored background for 'Carpet Beautifier' (unlike the black trim and silver background shown in reply #s 26 and 27):

Electrolux glasses

These were sometimes a 'starter' prize for selling X number of vacs(or polishers) in the first week of a month.
I believe one set of glasses showed the vac and when filled with cold drink the shampooer appeared as a reminder for 'twin' sales. That is when selling a vac add the shampooer/polisher for complete floor care for the customer and double sales and commission for the branch and salesman.

Kevin

Yes, there was a Regency Shampooer it was a model 2101 or 2101A there was also a Special Edition that was also a 2101 or 2101A it was red in color.
