Hi Kevin.
Great thread! I know that Electrolux also made floor polishers around the time they introduced the model V which was about 1924, but I don't have a history of these. I have 2 the B-8, and the Epic Floor-pro pictured in reply 12. As I have the hard floors treated with polyurethane, they don't need to be polished, but I've got both ready to display. Here's a look of the set-up in 1994.

Great line up.The B-8 & Floor Pro types were the best ever shampoo/polishers with the third brush and Elux quality.The smaller Special Edition types were not.They came to the US from Canada much as the plastic 2100 tank vac did.Is was available from branches in usual colors and at dept stores in red & maybe blue colors.It was smaller and not as good as its 'big brothers'with cordwinder contact and brush gear problems.

Thanks again rugsucker. I'm glad you gave your opinion about the smaller plastic shampooers such as the Special Edition, because I've been thinking about purchasing one.
I'm thinking I posted pics of most of the shampooers since 1957 (or so). Here's one, at least, that I missed.

Tig21er-Great information above.I have never seen this!Was it a page in Elux News?Maybe 78-80??-(The explanation of the B-8 belt compared with the later,smaller 2101 with metal motor shaft driving 3 plastic gears is just one reason the 'big brother' was better.)
Solution ratio-Was no need to write on tank as B-8 & 9 had markings on tank and cap was a measuring cup.
