That is the main outrage, ruining a bad brand. But you need a bad product to do that.
I think that more than the product the problem is the target, the brand leveraged on people who have had this product in their homes for a lifetime, non-technological people, people who like to clean the house in their own way, technology is fantastic but it is a completely different world, it's like giving an iPhone to my grandmother, she will never be as happy as with her phone with buttons.
And then there is precisely the question of the idea of the brand that is in people's heads and that then does not reflect that idea

I think people loved the product more than its compromises, that is, the cable and the heaviness, in fact now that it is wireless and light people complain because rightly it can't be as powerful as the old ones, also this new cordless by vorwerk still had bags, even little bag then before to keep the dimensions low…suction declines while the bag is halfway full and the bags cost a lot...(but this is a discussion that we have already addressed) for instance the bags are capable of 0,8 l ☠️

In any case, the first Fluffy was a little heavier and thicker than the new one, but it had a rear roller that helped a lot in the backward movement, allowing the dirt not to jump out of the brush while pushing back and all mechanically, a pity that they removed itView attachment 171790
They removed it to make the head slimmer.

I don't know what you mean by 'slim roller', could you please elaborate.
@centralsweeper63

The slim roller is the current version of the soft roller Dyson have, and currently it also have green laser. The slim roller currently is as tapered as the larger old one, and thus explains there's no back roller.

These two images compares the size between the regular Motorbar with each of the soft rollers, using a V12 with said Motorbar attached as the reference. You can see the slim roller is more slender and is similarly tapered. You can also see the back rollers at the rear of the old roller.

My design would have the slim roller but with the rear of the old and chunky one, and featuring both laser tech and the back rollers.

First Italian review of v16 demonstrated (in a very extremely way) how the new head it’s basically useless for his primary feature (detangling), my v15 with his normal direct drive head never never had problems with hairs too
I tested this with 60 cm long synthetic hair with an more or less realistic amount of hair and the v16 head was not perfect (it also had this build up ath the side not beeing removed anymore and floating arround) but did much much better compared to the gen5 head with the tested hair lenght and amount (which tangles alot of the hair). I will upload some more stuff soon.
And tbh - even in this totally unrealistic scenario (i have even no barber ever seen vacuuming up this amount of hair, they always sweep it manually) used for your quoted testing (i found the video) it worked at the end but not as fast as the cutting head of the compared dreame (question of longterm wear of the cutting blades).
