The point of the new head was to be efficient at both hard floor and carpet thus in theory negating the need for a Fluffy Head.

The fact that they're now including one, especially for free means they must know there's problems imo.
Maybe they're quielty coming to terms with what the 'premium' makes have known for a long time. Really hard, perhaps impossible to make a universal head perform as well as specialized/purpose built heads for the floor types.

Very possible, actually I love my fluffy, it's great for hard and shiny floors, also, the new head lacks of carbon fibers brush which were great for micro particles
And the old head was efficient at both floor and carpets too, it’s just a matter of choice (for this high price people expected both…)

and we’ve basically seen fluffy type of heads over a lot of other vacuums, at the time and still now it’s a very innovative heads and because of that seems strange to me removing it by the Dyson market

The drive for convenience is understandable, but I'm way further on the cleaning effectiveness side of the spectrum than what you get from a universal head (or a lot of other aspect of the stick vacuum form factor).

So there are a couple of Japanese all surface power nozzles sold with the top of the line Panasonic and Hitachi canister models that are surprisingly good. Mitsubishi too. Not all by any means but there are a few that are better than some full size power nozzles sold in the US.

I will look at getting one to try!
They come with Japan market 100 volt vacuums only sold in Japan. Some are happy on US household 110-120 volt power. The Panasonic MC-PJ22G, MC-PJ23G, MC-PJ24G and MC-PJ25G are the Panasonic models with the good power nozzle. Make sure it says G and not A. A stands for their air powered turbo nozzle. G is for the electric power nozzle. Also Hitachi CV-KP300J and CV-KP300K have a great new power nozzle with a really simple and clever anti tangle feature.

There's a V16 firmware update from svc0ps.50.02.011.0007 to svc0ps.50.02.012.0011. Anyone know what changed other than "bug fixes and improvements" as Dyson vaguely mention in the naff app? I did notice the app is very, very pestery about updating—something I'll add to my review.
It appears that @Vacuum Facts has indeed been banned. But then who own the thread now?

I know it wasn't any of those people that banned him. I can guess with pretty much certainty that it was Alan. Anyway, he could have been quite helpful, as long as he sorted his attitude out.

The issue with that dude was his toxic attitude really, he had all the energy in him to create good discussions, he just chose to be evil to everyone to the point where everyone went insane just listening to him. And the constant guerilla marketing for Dyson got really annoying. I have no qualms with Dysons but man, you don't need to sleep with the guy! o_O

His "statistics" where just shiny decorations.

yes im well aware. i have always trusted VacLab for information and facts on that sort of vacuum cleaner physics and science stuff - because he has proven he knows what he is talking about, is forthcoming and explains/teaches you about the science, and he doesnt yell and scream and throw a tantrum.
