BTW I cleaned the Sebo X1.1 up, used some cream cleaner to get any stubborn marks off, & overall the machine came up great! Attached new tools, filters, & a dust bag & tested the machine out. Forgot how well the X4 used to work on hard floors, the X1.1 does a great job on all floors & you can see where I have vacuumed the carpet because the pile has been bought up!

I also love how the hose/extension tube can be whipped out for any unsightly cobwebs you might spot whilst doing the floor without having to unlock a hose & attach the extension tube. Dyson might claim he has the only 'quick release hose' but he seems to forgot about the Sebo Uprights!

Thats great, glad the SEBO X1.1 has cleaned up a treat. I take it your very pleased with it? Are you using the new synthetic bags on the X1.1? Nice to know the X1.1 performs good on hard floors as well as carpets. Nice groomed carpets you can't beat it. Glad it's brought your carpet pile up.

I like the idea of that with the hose and wand, great design. Above floor cleaning on the go. Thats why a like that idea on the X series unlike my Miele S7 you can't do that without pushing the handle back to upright before you can use the hose! I think the SEBO Uprights are blind to Dyson! Plus you get a nice handle to hold when using the SEBO hose and wand too!

I thought that was essential! You try using the hose on a Sebo upright without one hand on the handle and chances are you'll soon find the machine will be pulled over, clouting you on the head. When using mums X4, I sometimes just lay the machine down or use the extension hose to prevent it toppling.

Sorry I meant the wand on the SEBO X series has a properly design handle built into it to hold comfortably when using and hold the wand its self.

I tend to use either. I like using just the hose and whatever cleaning tool dependent on the requirement. Holding the end of the hose with one hand and one hand in the middle won't allow the vacuum to fall down - it just restricts the length - after all if I want more, I'll slide the hose into the hoister wand and away I'll go.

Despite Miele's best efforts though - SEBO's old long crevice tool is the only one I can wedge all the way down into my Hotpoint tumble dryer for getting cloth fibre out of the insert once the filter has been taken out.

Here's a pic of my Felix hose and long crevice tool inserted into my Hotpoint tumble dryer. As you can see it can go all the way down in there. Also, the X hose lacks the bent part of the Felix handle and can also do the same.

The K3 handle however (with the electronic control and thicker swivel point) can be trickier to use. One other reason to why I'm not keen on the K3 handle - it is far smaller but not as light on the wrist and not as easy to use as the non-electric ones like the K1 series, D2s etc.

Great pictures sebo_fan. Shows how versitile SEBO's are. Do love the dark grey tools. My Felix Classic are all cream so show the dirt up easily!

I split the hose on my Felix Navy a few years ago and SEBO sent out a free hose - but it was the cream one! It looked quite nice with the Navy but it wasn't before long that I got really annoyed with the cream one and swapped it on my Dart 2 when I sold it on.

I emailed SEBO the other week about the hose on my Felix as I think the hose on my Classic is made slightly different to the other hoses on other Felix models. It doesn't seem as long or as flexible or stretchy as others I've seen. They said I could order a replacement at £30 but I've not as I feel it will be the same as the one I've already got. I can see the difference to against the extension hose I've got. Still does the job as it is.

Yep, the classic cream hose is the original one from SEBO's original line up - SEBO updated the hoses after 2010 with the introduction of other new models at the time whilst the Classic and Fun models were phased out. Eventually the Ice Blue version was also phased out.

I already purchased a silver one for my Felix two years ago to replace the original one that came with my Felix Navy - there's no visible difference until you stretch out both hoses and the newer hose does stretch out a bit more without compacting up so much.

I thought the hose was different on my Felix Classic thanks for confirming that sebo_fan. I was beginning to think it was just me that thought there was a difference to the later ones! I take 2010 when the new Felix models came out was when they changed the motor too?

I do like the silver and dark grey colours SEBO do. That's right you can't tell any visible difference until you stretch them out. Suppose I could always get a grey hose!

Im not sure about the model update with the motor. That might have been the same year but not the same month when the hoses were replaced or changed.

Generic hoses for the Felix and Dart used to be the same but then SEBO went and changed the cuff on the Dart as the Dart doesn't have the safety fail safe auto stop latch where the bottom insert is located on the body.

Thus, when vacuuming normally, if the hose was taken out by accident on a Felix, the brush roll would stop automatically. Not on the Dart however - the brush roll keeps going.

I didn't know that about the Dart not having the safety switch like the Felix has to stop the brush roll spinning if the hose is removed while the main handle is released.

Been looking on the SEBO German site again today they have got some nice pictures on there of the model ranges they do some close ups too.

I see the UK website has been posting some recent posts under the news/press release one saying the nation is back in love with carpet again turning away from hard floors! Of course they mention the features of the Felix and X series.

I know great to hear! I've read reports&#92articles where they are saying carpets are better than hard floors for people that suffer with allergies, as it traps the dust and dirt. Where as hard floors don't so there is more airborne dust particles about.
