Here's a Bissell y'all don't remember: Butler Revolution.
buster1849 I know you don't like canisters, so what do you think?

Bissell reviving the Butler name is redundant when the Zing already exists and can do the same thing.Very nice! I do remember that machine quite well. And the original Bissell Butler canister was quite popular here in Canada, probably because it was a low priced straight suction canister sold in Zellers.
Bissell's canisters were made for them under contract by Samsung. I found one that I took apart for parts because I wanted the motor - the single stage Samsung motor will pull 100" waterlift, it will match a straight suction Miele for cleaning performance. As for the attachment on the wand, that's called a Cyclonic Bag Saver attachment. It's good, in theory at least. Yes, it will capture the large, bulky dirt particles and carpet fibres and pet/human hair, BUT it still sends the fine dust to the bag which eventually clogs with fine dust and needs replacing.
I like the Bissell Digipro. I have two really nice examples ( one for show and one for go ) along with it's gorgeous metallic blue Samsung Digimax twin, but I am weird for Samsung vacuums in general. Superior Vacuums of Calgary and Hibbert International also in Calgary sell a good quality synthetic HEPA dust bag for them and still stock exhaust filters. The Canadians seemed to like Samsungs more than their southern brothers in the "lower 48" as they call us.I never liked the looks of these Samsung made Bissell cylinders. They look cheap and tacky to me.
