Very nice! I do remember that machine quite well. And the original Bissell Butler canister was quite popular here in Canada, probably because it was a low priced straight suction canister sold in Zellers.

Bissell's canisters were made for them under contract by Samsung. I found one that I took apart for parts because I wanted the motor - the single stage Samsung motor will pull 100" waterlift, it will match a straight suction Miele for cleaning performance. As for the attachment on the wand, that's called a Cyclonic Bag Saver attachment. It's good, in theory at least. Yes, it will capture the large, bulky dirt particles and carpet fibres and pet/human hair, BUT it still sends the fine dust to the bag which eventually clogs with fine dust and needs replacing.

Bissell reviving the Butler name is redundant when the Zing already exists and can do the same thing.
