Hi to all the vintage vac enthusiasts here, I thought I share my experience of Electrolux Aus built vacuum cleaners made in glen waverly Victoria, this one has always been my favourite ( probably boring to most) the 1970s automatic model 331 $156 in 1976 still in use paper bag inside cloth bag faithful beast,I have a few other Electrolux models including a rare Electrolux rebuild model which Godfrey’s took over later on,
I also have the green 338 cord retractable same as the 331 I think it was made in NZ and from memory was sold here as the green Goblin following the previous model called ambassador , it’s interesting to note that Australia sold Electrolux vacuum here also called Volta which wasn’t sold door to door and mostly was a budget item lacking features like cord retractable the power supply light etc , my favourite is the Volta red devil which is again I believe a NZ built Electrolux model , this is only my opinion, I did spend a lot of time visiting the Electrolux vacuum shop back in the late 80s and learned a lot about them as well as being given a salesman booklet of all the Electrolux models which had colour identification in a tiny book, unfortunately long lost, otherwise vacuum cleaner your opinion very much appreciated
