Actually Chris, not quite true on the red X4. The red X4 was an online special from 2012 in the UK, as was the white and yellow X4 from 2009 (that I nearly bought) which was available on Amazon UK.
I can't remember the white and yellow X4 model number, sadly but the 90559GB appears to still be on sale at a number of UK companies.
Here's the dark blue X1.1, or rather a stock photo of it with the wand facing the wrong way!
Nice video though, Emma.
About the X wand though - it was designed to be walked around with hence having the top grab wand at the top near the main handle to the upright. I agree that whilst it is bulky for the first time, you’ll soon get used to whipping it out and extending the hose via grabbing and pulling on the wand to get the reach or stretch going.
IN all nearly 20 years I have used the X1A, the T shaped tool has never come off due to the friction fit style of it onto the end of the wand. Neither does the stair cleaning turbo brush, when fitted.
I also have a straight suction tube, but it gets used with the Felix. I do agree regarding the longer hose - it would be appreciated, even if SEBO went as far to cutting the longer extension hose by at least half to compensate for something that could be stored on the machine but not get in the way. Perhaps that will come in time.
I've always found the agitation to be very good on the Sebo too. It doesn't make the dirt bounce like on an old Junior or Senior, but by modern standards, it's very good and enough to clean the floor perfectly.
Meant to say Emma, you can buy the kick back replacement squeegee strips direct from SEBO. To access them, they are fitted on the same side as the removable brush roll by the door once it has been released.
For the same reason, my mother is never allowed to borrow any of my vacuums. When she vacuums, that's her idea of taking the paint off the skirting boards.
