Done :P

Random close up.

Again thank you Sebo~Fan for giving me the link to the parts list. It helped when reassembling!

And thank you to the people who made me change my mind into getting her.

I will do a video (Maybe a thread,or extra comment on here) on my opinions about it after using it as my daily driver for a week. Keeping in mind there is 3 adults and 2 cats it has quite a bit to do!

Great job there Emma, looks great. Hope you enjoy using it, look forward to hearing what you think.

SEBO's are lovely vacuums to use, maintain too. So easy and effortless in use. I first discovered SEBO 8 years ago when I got my Felix Classic. Never looked back and it was this vacuum that got me back into bagged vacuums again.

They certainly do lay flat and have a slim body. Not many modern vacuums can lie flat! Would love an X series one day.

The dusting brushes are great I have a small one for my Felix. Would like to get the larger one too. The mini turbo head is good to especially for per hair. The upholstery tool does a great job too.

Glad to hear you loved using your X1.1, how did you find the automatic height adjustment? I bet you found it glides across the carpet with ease!? Did it pick up much in the bag?

Sorry for the questions!!

Don't worry I don't mind you asking.

The auto height adjustment ~ I honestly thought I wouldn't like it,but infact i quite like it :P

Just from downstairs it picked up way more than i thought it would. Going to vacuum upstairs later so I'll get a picture later.

Thank you.

Great to hear you like the auto height adjustment, not everyone likes it. From my brief go of an X series I liked it.

Looks like it surprised you what it picked up then, the brush roll is very good on the SEBO's. Same one fits the Felix power head same power head (ET-1) used on the Premuim Cylinder/Canister models. You can get a delicate version of the brush roll which is softer for delicate flooring. Great idea!

See what it picks upstairs later!

Excellent job, Emma! From stripping it down, cleaning it off and reassembling it, to even trying it.

The black muck on the underside of the bin release before the floor head is just carbon dust, when evidently the filter hasn't had a change. I hope you'll keep the SEBO as you'll find out in time just how long lasting those dust bags are - the synthetic ones last a bit more than the paper ones in my experience, but also plenty of other X1 owners who report the same. Basically a box of bags should last you around 2 years, but then it really depends on what you'll put your X1.1 through.

Great to hear your keeping it.

I'll second what sebo_fan says about the new synthetic bags. I love them over the paper ones.

I will have to look out for a second hand X series!

Emma what do you think of the built in quick release hose and wand setup?

I only used it briefly to suck up some small plant leaves and it was very easy and handy to just pull the hose up and do what you need to do.

I love the handle on it too, very comfy to hold in my opinion.

Picture time!

After her nice polish and wax. I could of probably left the wax to give it a better shine but I didn't have the time.

As requested ~

Here's the bag. It's mostly hair but even so I'm very impressed by it!

This is after all of downstairs and upstairs. Downstairs hadn't been done for just over a week and same as upstairs, possibly a touch longer. The last machine I used was my 1995 Turbopower 2 U2464.

I need to do the stairs tomorrow too.

God my wrist looks so fat in this picture! Haha. :P

Looking great there Emma, well done!

The brilliant thing about the Sebo bags is that, because they're top fill and coupled with the filter design, you can really pack the bags full so it's like a brick by the time it needs changing. They take MONTHS to fill up on mine.

Good restoration, Emma.

I have an X4 extra, they are ok, I never use it though..As far as I am concerned, I wouldn't pee on it, if it was on fire.

Glad to hear you've had a quick go with the hose/wand. Not many uprights that have a comfy built in wand/handle setup.

You've done a great job Emma it looks fab. Great pictures too. That bag will last a while, and with the top fill and unique side suction it will compact as it fills as Chris says like a brick!! Great design is the side suction setup.

It's amazing how old this design is for SEBO but it continues to sell and people who are new to the brand today love them, as well as existing SEBO owners. Just goes to show simple, effective, intuitive design and engineering stands the test of time.
