    Hoover Convertible manual

Which Convertible does it belong to? It's an early '70's Convertible, but am unsure which one. Great to see a vintage Hoover manual. Thanks.

    Best Decade for Vacuums

The '60's I for the most part only collect Hoover, and I feel that Hoover has achieved an advancement in every decade. For me, the 1960's is my favorite decade of Hoover, but my favorites span the '50's-'90's. Model 69 is my favorite Convertible. But, I love most of them. Innovation was/is the...

    Hoover Guardsman

Age I believe these models to be late '70's-mid '80's. There was a series of Guardsman products, and this was the upright. Great looking vacuum! Enjoy!

    Hoover 370 (Original)

Original Hi, it appears to be; the cord assembly may have been updated to today's standards as I believe the UK requires this. Anyway, it's a smart looking vacuum. Hope you win it. Ron

Just Bought My Rarest Vacuum! check this out!

Nice It looks to be 1960's-early '70's. If I still had my old Wards catalogs I could try to look it up and see if a date fits. Otherwise, enjoy this unusual clean looking vacuum. Where did you find it? Ron

    A pair of Hoover 918s

Fred Thanks for your insight, and your knowledge of Hoover is always impressive. I agree that back in the UK these were probably old stock parts that were continued in use for years. Sometimes, it's hard to date them. Ron

    New in Box Elite

Bad News I still say stay away. I would wait until someone unrelated sells one. It is odd to have something like this be handled on eaby in this way. Two likely related sellers selling this in the ways they have is troublesome.

    New in Box Elite

Stay Away It could be a returned vacuum that was defective. I worked for Hoover then, and this was often the case with an open box. Opened is indeed, suspicious. Be cautious about this. Unscrupulous sellers abound. I have had bad experiences on ebay, so caution is key. Ron

    Whats your oldest vacuum?

Hoover Convertible Model 69 Model 69 is the oldest I have. And, it is in mint condition. Early Convertibles were so beautiful.

Welcoming A New Member to the Hoover Family

Enjoy The Model 63 is one of my favorites too. It indeed, has such a pleasant sound. It cleans so well too. It's kind of a fashion-forward looking machine of its time. This one looks choice.

    Hoover Carpet Sweeper!

That's the third time on This sweeper has been on ebay three times now. It is more common than the latter models, and it's not one of my favorites.

    A word of caution...

Excellent advice I agree one has to be cautious with handling bag waste. It can also harbor mold, not to mention asbestos. Here, in California we have a law about buildings pre-1978 because of asbestos. Be careful.
