ok im still in awe that i found this!

here is the model tag info. model: 05sp439A serial: ux000068 350 watts.


so this is a montgomery wards eureka made machine that i belive is post war. said to be the date is 1956.
my oldest eureka.

its got a beutiful purple maroon base, handle and a greenish gray hood and bag. it runs and looks new. lots of pics!

look at that funky brushroll! best cleaning one ive ever seen. if you take notice to the little metal tool on the underside to the side of the base. that is the belt tool. everything is mint

Wow... that is an incredible cleaner, and a once in a lifetime find... Take some pictures of it in daylight, I'm interested to see its true colors...

That's the exact same Disturbulator brushroll we had on our 1960 Eureka 260....hmmm...now I am wondering if there is some connection between the year and the model number. It seems that the 2070 came out in 1970!!!!

It looks to be 1960's-early '70's. If I still had my old Wards catalogs I could try to look it up and see if a date fits. Otherwise, enjoy this unusual clean looking vacuum. Where did you find it? Ron
 
It's Definitely late 40s early 50s. The hood and light are far more simpler than my circa 58 monkey wards. Congrats!

They are pretty uncommon. I see from time to time eureka styles in this shape but not too many wards.
