<span style="font-family: trebuchet ms,geneva; font-size: medium;">Now how cool is this! I didn't know Hoover made these things!! Did they come in any other colors? The salmon and seal greige colors seen in this carpet sweeper remind me of a Dial-A-Matic that a high-school friend's mom had in those same colors. She kept it in the hall closet buried behind a tightly packed row of overcoats -- all you could see was the base of the machine on the floor!

This sweeper has been on ebay three times now. It is more common than the latter models, and it's not one of my favorites.

I've had my eye on that sweeper!

I'm surprised you've never seen one before, Charles.  They were pretty common around here when I was growing up.  Probably not as popular as Bissel, but several of our neighbors had a Hoover sweeper, and several of the department stores with large Hoover displays always had the sweeper as part of the lineup.

I think it's quite attractive, but not for that price. Eames Era too! La de da.....
I like the piece of furniture in the picture.
