I wonder where the loud clicking noise is coming from as it slows down, possibly the brushroll ends catching? I wouldn't expect the sleeve bearings in the motor to make that noise.
It's interesting to note the multiple fixings around the motor casing on this model. There were some similar looking machines known as Seniors and Juniors available in 1919. This one has no name on the badge; possibly the idea of giving them names came out in the 1910s?
