    I Love Auctions

Local auctions I will attest that HiBid is a heck of a source for regional (go drive to get it) auctions. I use them, as well as 3 other regional state auctioneers.

    This Tristar.......

First 2 numbers of the serial are 91. Guess that settles the vintage.

    This Tristar.......

Since I have a fully tweaked out central vacuum, It will likely never see any use. I gave it a thorough wash, and I'm waiting on all the filters to dry. Winter (not quite freezing) in the garage is not lending itself to rapid drying of the filters. I have no doubt that it is a fine...

    This Tristar.......

I got this at the auction. Condition seems ok. It all works, just needs cleaned and deodorized. I don't know for sure how to get the vintage on these. Well made machine though. I am planning to sell it.

My first Robot Vacuum- how was yours?

Someone gifted me a Roomba 400.... I think that was the model anyway. There wasn't anything automatic about it, just put it in the middle of the room, press Go, and come back later to find it stuck on an electric cord. If I wanted to watch a bump and go toy, it was the ticket.

Strangest or worst clog found in vacuum

Carpet fiber When we first moved here, we were using a Hoover Tempo Widepath. My Uncle in law was helping with the move, and in not checking the vac at any point, filled the bag to the brim, and then packed the hose full of carpet fibers. It was hard packed, and took a plumbers snake to fix.

Kirby Sentria 2 not outcleaning a rainbow e2 black

As a former rainbow user..... I never had any problem "getting the job done" with the rainbow vacuums. Even with my central vacuum now, I can tell you that you'll spend lots of time if you're waiting to hear nothing but air in the hose. Sometimes even after 10 passes, I'll get another...

Lindhaus silently gives the finger to the cordless sick Vaccum market

For those in the know...... Lindhaus is premium stuff..... It's NOT in WalMart. A mass market campaign wouldn't make any sense. Most of the top tier makers rely on their in-store demos. Most of the indie vac shops I know of will fix all makes, but sell things like Miele, Lindhaus, Sebo...

    My New Rainbow SRX 🌈

I always liked Rainbows. I had the SE model for a long time, but sold it to finance the tools and repairs when I moved. My home had a 1970's central vac that I vowed to fix. I don't regret my decision, as I'm sold on Central Vacuum, but I do appreciate the rainbow for solving the bad smell...

    Procyon carpet shampoo

Interesting...I've just been using Zep, which seems to get the job done. Our carpets are looking pretty good for their age.

    Lindhaus Healthcare Pro Hepa

Already sold.... Well, that didn't take long....... That sweeper is on to its new home. I use a lindhaus power head on my central vac, so I can agree that they are very well made. Around here, it would just be "looking cute" since I use the CV for most jobs.

    Lindhaus Healthcare Pro Hepa

I just got one of these at auction over the weekend. This unit seems to be built to a commercial/professional standard. Everything is in pretty good shape, and it works 100%. I like how quiet it is, the long cord, and the effective clean-up. The bad, I have a central vacuum, so this...

The most frustrating vacuum video on Youtube.

Mr. Vacuum Facts........ He reminds me of a brainwashed apple fanboy. It doesn't matter what kind of computer product you have, test, or recommend... it has to be trash because it's not Apple. Mr. Vacuum Facts is obviously a fan boy, and anything that isn't his precious toy must be somehow...

    Goodbye rainbow hello riccar

Every Room? What source of dirt would yield that much water change-out? Even when I was a Rainbow user, sometimes I'd change it twice for the house. Is it a commercial environment, or just being super cautious? I would still be a rainbow user, but I got a Central vac equipped home.

a couple of new central vacuum units

Central Vacuums are a huge source of corporate incest.... Meaning that there's about 4 plants that make 50 brands. A look through the accessories section will easily prove my point. I've got a very mixed up system here, but it kicks butt... Nutone Inlets & Pipe, Imperium Motor...

The most frustrating vacuum video on Youtube.

Law Suit??? Good grief.... I have not even tried to contact him. I THINK I left a comment, and down-voted a few videos, but that's about all. I think his misguided opinions (facts according to his videos) are a waste of effort.

a couple of new central vacuum units

I've always been a fan of... The Linday manufacturing brands.... That would be Astro Vac, Valet, Vacumaid, and Imperium... all the same stuff.

The most frustrating vacuum video on Youtube.

It's funny, we really should be talking about cleaning effectiveness, but we love to dwell on the numbers. It's easy to think about the CFM, sealed suction, and air watts, yet the ultimate question is...... Does it remove the dust dirt and sand effectively? In case you were wondering...

The most frustrating vacuum video on Youtube.

Kirby is fundimentally the same for many years..... We know that Kirby systems have seen small improvements over time, but the system was very solid to start with. Kirby vacs are among the most powerful, and since the product is effective, major changes are not in order. I look at the 70's...

    Oreck XL Housekeeper compact canister

Mine is a corded model with a pretty long cord. It does have the locking hose. I was expecting it to be little more than a toy, but it's proven to be useful.
