Brett, I totally agree with you there. Back in the early 90s, my grandmother gave me a Singer/Kenmore from the mid 80s with headlight, 2 speeds, and I remember it was sticking to the floor from the suction to the point you could barely push it. Even on low speed. My dad went to run it one day...

Thanks to Tom who helped me out with a 1031 attachment set, I was able to test out a Convertible with attachments for the first time. I thought it did a pretty decent job, even considering it isn't completely closed off from the brush roll. It's funny though, now, after seeing how it hooked...

Jeff, finally got around to doing the maintenance on the U4007. It sounds great now! And there was a bunch of packed dirt behind the fan. Thanks for the instructions :) Also, Tom, I got the brush roll today. Thanks again! This one works great :)

Just curious about what are some of the specs on the Hoover Convertible? The ones I got with the 4.7 amp motor, what RPM does it operate at on normal speed/high speed? Then the next question is then what speed does the brush roll spin at then? For a while I've always wondered about that. When...
