Who has a daily driver?

Help Support VacuumLand:

I can't really pick just one, but the Four I use most often would be as follows.

My Sebo Felix is used most often as my Main Corded Vacuum to clean all the carpeting and area rugs. I just love that it's lightweight, easy to maneuver, very quiet, efficient and it does an excellent job of cleaning my flooring.

My Riccar Radiance Premium, because it cleans so well and is so very quiet and well made, it just makes me happy to clean with it. I even LOVE the Color, which has nothing to do with performance but IMHO I find it beautiful.

My Dyson V10 is mounted inside my front Hall closet, so it is most convenient and used often for quick pick ups around the house. The only reason there is a "Second" Cordless choice is because I don't like taking the time to stop mid clean and go to the closet and switch from the carpet to bare floor head and vice versa, every time I my flooring surfaces change.

My Shark IonFlex DuoClean Cordless Ultralight is my daily driver for quick pick ups or cleaning in between using the Sebo Felix or Riccar Radiance Premium to deep clean. I love this one for two reasons: One, is it cleans every single flooring surface (including dusting/polishing bare floors and tile) without the need of changing brushroll heads or attachments. Two, it has removable batteries and came with two so I don't have to wait around for it to recharge. I also can leave it sitting anywhere, it stands on it's own when you fold over the handle and I can grab a different attachment or another battery off the charger anytime I need it, unlike the Dyson which I have lay it flat on the floor or prop it against the couch or go to rehang it on the charger and wait a few hours.

So the Four above are as close to "Daily Drivers" for me.. about 75% of my cleaning is with these and the remaining 25% I am bringing out a new or different vacuum from my collection for fun or specific cleaning needs. I must admit, even though I have very few canister/cylinder vacuums as I am not overly fond of that style.. I am using the Hoover Air Revolve bought from Direct Tools (many thanks again Dan) often and it's still my favorite of a canister design.

Just one last comment, I don't believe for me there is one vacuum in the world that I could or would be satisfied using 100% of the time and never again getting to use any of my other vacuums in my collection. The closest to perfect for me are my Sebo Felix and my Riccar Radiance Premium, but I have many vacuums in my collection that I hold near and dear to my heart, some are simply nostalgia or something I've wanted for a long time.. like the Hoover Air Revolve Multi-Position Bagless Canister Vacuum, which I now own Three!

Thanks for this thread, it was fun thinking and trying to narrow down my decision. Sorry I couldn't pick just ONE but I'm such a collector that I need to have my choices. lol

Better late than never

I don't vacuum daily (wish I had the time to!), but I use my Epic 6500SR the most. I use it for our living room (which has laminate floors and an area rug). I've been using the hard floor tool that came with my Avalir with it, and it works great (aside from one of the little wheels getting jammed with German Shepherd fur!). Speaking of that, that's my only gripe about that vacuum; those little bags fill up really quickly that aforementioned fur! But, at least they're cheap.

I use my Royals, a 4650 canister, 5700 upright, and my mom's old Compact C9/Anthony James canister. Mom gave me her 501 as well for my birthday recently so I have one identical to the one in the first post here. I guess I need to make a thread about it but it's not as nice as the pictured one but runs great. It will need a new belt but it does work great in tight carpeted spaces and on the furniture. Mom bought it used I think for 35 bucks probably when it was close to new and I don't remember her ever using it even though she usually kept it on the back of the couch.
I also use a 18 volt and a dirt devil stick vac for cleaning the parrots area on the vynil entry way and quick touch ups.

I rotate my vacuums a lot, but what I use the most is my Miele C3 with the Sebo ET-1 powerhead. Quiet, powerful and very convenient because I also have hard floors.

It might be :) I just love the Sebo ET-1 powerhead.
I also have the Miele SEB 216-3 and Wessel Werk EBK 340, but ET-1 is my favorite.

My C3 was originally straight suction model. I have done all the connections by myself. Wand to Sebo ph adapter is from the eBay. It has been working very well year now. I have done the same thing at least to ten canisters now. This Sebo ph fit to all of my canister vacuums.

We don't have Sebo vacuums in the Finland except
the Sebo Automatic XP20 and it is totally intended for the commercial use like few other bagged uprights.

Miele is very common, but at the moment no powerhead models.
I have bought my Sebo Felix and K-series Airbelt canister from the UK. I have to buy bags and filters from the UK, because we don't have those here.
Typical selection of vacuums in the Finnish store in the link.

I alternate between a 2014 Aerus Lux Legacy and a 1985 Diamond Jubilee. I use the newer one when I need the small mini power nozzle to do the couches, but otherwise I mostly use the DJ.

I have a sort of daily driver in the basement rec room in the form of an Epic 6000, but I don't vacuum down there all that often except for in the summer when people go in and out down there to get to the pool.

My Central Vac is my daily driver... It gets used every day.

The main power unit is an Imperium CV300, and the most common carpet power head is the Lindhaus PB14e I've got one set of tools for the home floors, one set for the basement, and one for the workshop. There's always something to sweep.
