Ok, I don’t actually vacuum daily. I actually vacuum more like once a week, so my “daily driver” is more of a “weekly driver.” Nevertheless, I have one machine I depend on for routine cleaning: my Fantom Thunder. The other vacuums get used only on select occasions.

Why the Thunder? For one, it’s low maintenance. I can just fill that bin over and over and over without doing a thing to the vacuum. A year later, I’m still on my first HEPA filter. I haven’t touched it, and the suction is still just as strong as always. The inner cyclone doesn’t seem to pass much of anything. Try that with a non-cyclonic bagless vacuum!

The quick-draw onboard hose and tools are another plus. The vacuum is also not a screamer, thanks to its 2-stage Lamb Ametek motor. It’s like a miniaturized central vac motor, and it goes and goes!

Finally, it gets along with my plush carpet. When you have as much carpet as I do, that counts for a lot! Vacuuming the whole house with my Heritage II, for example, wears me out, and I’m young, strong, and healthy!

Anyways, do you have a vacuum you depend on more than the others for the regular cleaning? If so, what is it? What do you consider to be your “daily driver?”

My daily/weekly driver..."go to", if you will, would have to be my Electrolux.
I can't truly narrow it down to one, because I mix it up between an Epic 6500 and an Ambassador III.
Unlike yourself, I have mostly hardwood floors, with just a few area rugs.
When I feel like some variety, I'll use an Electrolux on the wood floors, and pull out a Hoover Convertible for the rugs.

My daily driver as of late for daily cleanings of the hard surfaces is the Oreck pod vacuum. So easy to grab off the charging dock, takes no time to vacuum the house. And I love that the dirt is contained in the cloth pod, so no bagless mess to contend with. For the carpeted den (which I don't vacuum daily), I usually grab the Electrolux Epic 3500 SR upright. It's a great vacuum and cheap to maintain.

For the past few months, my 'daily drivers' (used daily in a home with 2 very big Border Collies) are my Eureka Imperial upright and my Revelation C-4 for the dusting above the floor as well as the hard floors and furniture. I go back to my Vacuflo before Christmas, but these two work SO WELL together it's hard to ask for anything more from a vacuum cleaner than what these two machines provide.

A Filter Queen

31 straight suction and a GE U 4 upright for the last few months, I switch them around.Always a Silverado in the house for Donald to use, he loves Electroluxes.

Mine would by a mile be my Kirby Generation 3. I have a Kirby Ultimate G Diamond Edition but I consider that vacuum to be the crown jewels of my collection so it doesn't get used as much as the others. The G3 just does such a good job and I find that it's more maneuverable with the TechDrive on simply because it doesn't have the handle centering spring like the Diamond Edition has.

<p>Nothing beats my Compact C9  ad my Elrctrolux ap 200 both work wonderful on rugs floor so easy to maneuver both have been rebuild too so they work extremely well !

Once I get all my vacuums repaired I plan to do this idea too. I only vacuum once a week as well, but should do it twice a week. I have more hardwood floor than carpet in the upstairs so I'd need to use another vacuum with a hose if the vacuum for that week happens to not have one.

I've been using my Miele C2 Electro Plus for the last few months but I decided to switch it up so I've been using my Royal Power Tank lately. Gosh, I forgot what a chore that machine is to use. It's powerful but there are lots of little ergonomic touches that the machine lacks. I also regularly use my Bissell Anna, it's nice to have a cordless machine for quickly cleaning up high traffic areas.

First off, I don't vacuum daily or even weekly. I'm a total slob and I live alone so it doesn't matter. When I take a notion to do some cleaning or I have company coming (rare occurrence) my go-to recently has been my Electrolux Discovery II upright although sometimes it's a 1205 or Diamond J canister or my Franken-Kirby (G5 with bits from several other generations) that gets put into action.

My parent's central vac is one of them that I use daily. Whenever I would get some new vacuums in my collection, I would use daily but eventually I would grow tired of using them. The only one in my collection that I'd still use daily is my Sanitaire S663.

I rotate my vacs in use....so no truly 'daily driver'....though recently I've used my Kirby Legend II for my upstairs and my Miele U1 Jazz on my main floor. Both are changing as of tomorrow....so thats part of the 'fun'...changing things up and USING different ones. I find by doing this rotating....I"m always anxious to use the new one b/c I like them all!!!

I use my ridgid wd0670 for all vacing purposes; floor brush with horsehair bristles for tile, walls & ceilings; straight suction rug nozzle for carpet; & REAL dusting brush with horsehair bristles & rubber brush body (tristar cxl)

I also use a numatic style turbo brush & no matter how much pressure is put on (thick/shag carpets) it doesnt slow down. When the brush gets disconnected from hose or wand; or vac turned off, the brush takes 'forever' to stop spinning

Well, a Hoover product, of course.

There's usually a Handivac at the ready in the kitchen, a few Convertibles here and there, a Connie is usually close by. For years, my loyal Hoover
Convertible 1076 drove the dirt out of this 12-room house, faithfully.
So, there ARE drivers..... sometimes, I'll 'shake things up' and use a different one altogether.
