My 425 came to me, along with the late Stan Kann's entire collection of Vacuums. There were a few that had been pilfered between the time Stan's passed away and the time the machines were placed in The Vacuum Cleaner Museum in Saint James, Missouri. Whom ever swiped Stan's most valuable machines, missed this one. With the Silver Jubilee outer bag, this was one of Stan's's pride and joy's.
The Golden prize Convertible mode 65 from 1958. I am very pleased and esteemed to own one of the only 22,000 of this machine made! I had completely restored mine from the ground up.
My second choice is the Convertible Estate model U4103. Not too terribly rare, but one if my favorites none the less.
Mine would be
The model 262 ,the 26,the 28 ,the 150, The big Commercial Conquest orange upright ,Convertibles,The DAM whit power drive orange,The Concept one whit power drive also ,Model O,Elite soft bag burgundy color,Wind tunnel green, those would be it long list
Gosh! How can you choose just one?!?! I have so many that I like! My current ones I use are a lavender model 33, and the cheerful U4127! But I also love my more vintage models too!!!
My favorite hoover vacuum cleaner would have to be the hoover senior 6525E. Mine is one of the last seniors ever made and is from 1976 toward the end of the senior era. I love it so much because the headlight lights up dark spaces and it has great carpet pile height adjustment as its the only cleaner I own to have a setting for REALLY thick carpet. We have had new really thick shag pile carpet in the lounge and its the only cleaner that is really easy to push on the carpet and there is even a height setting above the one that already outdoes all the other machines! Also, for some reason my mothers hair doesn't get wrapped around the brush roll like it does with all the other uprights I own.
