Hmmm....Well, right now, I am using my Bissell Healthy Home 5770....been WAY TOO LONG since I took it out of it's box & used it! I also am using my Kenmore 220 Twin Fan from the early 1990's, & that's also my "loaner" vacuum I let the neighbors use occasionally. And I just placed an order for the Hoover Windtunnel Air Pro upright, so I can't wait to get my hands on it & compare it to my Bissell & the Dyson Ball vacuums....and knowing me, I won't be able to stop using it for at LEAST a couple of months!

Now I'm using the TriStar CXL & Electrolux L every other day; one day I use the L & the next the CXL; then the L again, etc. Still, nothing beats the TriStar EXL![this post was last edited: 4/21/2013-16:23]

At the moment it's my new Vax VCU-02 - just love how lightweight it is and perfect for those quick clean ups. For more involved cleaning "once a week" including dusting of shelves, ceilings, its the choice of the Sebo D2 Total.

At my rental flat, its the choice of the Miele S5211 or for quick dust arounds with a low powered eco friendly vac, my Sebo Felix.

My current daily driver is a Sebo D2 Total. Have only had it a couple or three weeks so far and am really pleased with it, especially since we just adopted a cat who sheds like crazy over anything he comes into contact with. It copes well with the puddy hair, has a huge bag and is quiet enough to use in the evening without disturbing the neighbours downstairs, so that covers pretty much everything I need.

My other vac is a Dyson DC07 Animal. This sees very little use nowadays, mainly because I don't like having to empty a canister full of pet hair. In time I'll give it a full clean and rebuild, then pass it along to my mother as a replacement for the ageing DC04 she keeps upstairs. Then I SUPPOSE I'll have to find something else to take its place... nothing worse than having to go out and buy a new vac yet again!

Since I wrote my last response ...

... I've changed my daily drivers just a little bit. I no longer have the Kent: it's been replaced by an Electrolux UK PowerSystem Z1720. As for the others, I still have them but except for the Windsor I don't use them as daily drivers any more but instead I bring them out every so often in a kind of rotation (just to keep 'em all in good working order!).

By the way, I also use my new Bosch GL-30 cylinder (model BSGL3180GB/03) a lot too -- so I suppose you could call it one of my daily drivers too.

This month my daily drivers are my newly aquired and rebuilt Rainbow E-2 single speed and my awesome Filter Queen Princess Upright. I have a lot of dog hair and lets face it, out in the country there's a lot of dirt too so I just bought a new 4qt water pan for the e-2. It's a generic that I bought from Essco for under $35.00

Present can't narrow daily driver to just one or even two machines-its several.Kirby Sentria or Royal metal upright for carpets-Kirby connected to an NSS M1 as a tandem air vacuum. For canister jobs--Meile S8,Sebo D4 Premium,RainbowE2 Onnyx,(I have changed my mind on their powernozzles-the new "whisker brush" powernozzle is MUCH better)And also the NSS m1.Like using a vareity of vacuums. And a Tornado Task Force Wet-dry to clean out the paper shredder.

My Filter Queen Princess 3 for the hard floors and the Kirby heritage 84 for the carpets. also love my Oreck "Buster" hand vac for small jobs.
